Stumbled upon this gem while browsing the Queen VIC ended up going twice. Josue is the sweetest person and made us feel at home both times we visited, my daughter fell in love with their Flan. They serve Spanish Tapas, Paella and the famous Flan and other sweet desserts which are baked daily and fresh . Do not miss this place its just next door to Queen Vic.

I had never heard of it, and certainly didn't expect it at the market, although it does face the street as well as being in the small food court.

It's terrific, the wine list and the tapas list is very extensive and authentic as are the staff. The ambiance and fit out are as authentic as you are going to get outside of Spain.

The wine is very good and perfectly compliments the excellent food. The staff are genuinely Spanish and not pretending, forget the being in the market food court bit although it's hiding in the corner. It's terrific, highly recommended will definitely go again, it's one of those addictive places for a little piece of Spain without the jet lag.

El Rincon is just wonderful! We went with friends last night and were all made to feel so welcome. The tapas is amazing and all the staff were friendly and helpful. With every glass of wine or sherry comes a free tapas! We had a range of tapas including tortilla, potato and bacala, chorizo in tomato sauce, olives, chargrilled eggplant and capsicum, paella, all of which were so flavoursome! This place has a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I just know I will be back again and again and again!

We were visiting the victoria market and as it was closing we wandered away and stepped right into El Rincon. It's a small restaurant located at the corner of the food court, which fits the name as rincon means corner in Spanish. We were seated at the only table outside near the food court. There are a couple more outside the entrance and counter seats inside. We had the seafood rice dish and the Spanish roast chicken. The chicken was delicious and the rice dish was tasty also although the rice may have been a bit under cooked. The wines were delicious. You get a compliment tapa with each round of drinks. Take cash as they are not yet setup for cards. Overall we found this to be an excellent choice for eating Spanish food and if we find ourselves in Melbourne again we will stop by.

I walked in to for a late lunch with my daughter and took the recommended $16 roast chicken. Wow, I got a slow cooked with vegetables-provincial chicken with potatoes and lettuce. I would have happily paid twice as much for such healthy and fresh dinner. I was too full to try desert but I wanted to experiment more. This is a new restaurant that want be empty for long.
