Right from check-in I felt that I was in a well-run hotel - the staff person at the desk was efficient and friendly. My room had a great view over the Yarra River and was nicely appointed - it had a comfy couch and a nice-sized desk for working at. I *loved* the enormous squishy pillows on the bed - wish I had those on my bed at home!
On the downside - the breakfast buffet is expensive and, on the mornings I ordered tea, it was often quite slow to arrive. Room service dinners were mediocre to okay. The gym is on the small side for a hotel of this size - luckily for the runners, you can skip the treadmill and go for marvellous runs along the river.More
