Modern, spacious, clean and good value can be a rare combination in Australian cities, but this one ticks those boxes quite well.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the whole building gives an air of a slightly more expensive premise.
The bed was very comfortable, the balcony usable, an it made a nice setting for a romantic long weekend away.
The view over the park and docklands is noteworthy, but the location isn't the most central, however you're only a few blocks from some great shopping and a short stroll from Queen Vic Markets, and public transport is right on the doorstep.
There are a few quirks, Wifi is free for a half hour block but then it's pay as you go, and it's not cheap. Also our room came with a free coffee voucher each day, which was nice but strange they couldn't stretch to two vouchers for a couple; I suppose it's a lure into the cafe (which is very nice to be honest).
All in all, I would gladly stay again, I've spent more on much less in Melbourne and can live with a few slight cons, none of which would be a deal-breaker.More
