I used to go to this restaurant quite a lot when I lived close by. I moved and have not been there for a while.
I was in the mood for Shabu Shabu and this place was the only reliable source.
Things changed. New owners and no Shabu Shabu. I am happy I went however.
Genial owner out front and a lady who knows here stuff cooking.
We had takoyaki, tempura and sashimi for entrees. All were very good - fresh and correct. The takoyaki in particular had that haunting smokiness it needs.
Mains were the udon nabe. Lots of bits on top and a magnificent fungal taste to the broth. Best I have ever had in Perth.
We were there on a Saturday night at 7.30 and we were the only patrons. A small group came in later but that was it. I cannot see why people are not breaking the door down.
This place deserves to succeed.
