I used to go to this restaurant quite a lot when I lived close by. I moved and have not been there for a while.

I was in the mood for Shabu Shabu and this place was the only reliable source.

Things changed. New owners and no Shabu Shabu. I am happy I went however.

Genial owner out front and a lady who knows here stuff cooking.

We had takoyaki, tempura and sashimi for entrees. All were very good - fresh and correct. The takoyaki in particular had that haunting smokiness it needs.

Mains were the udon nabe. Lots of bits on top and a magnificent fungal taste to the broth. Best I have ever had in Perth.

We were there on a Saturday night at 7.30 and we were the only patrons. A small group came in later but that was it. I cannot see why people are not breaking the door down.

This place deserves to succeed.

Thank MDC50

Very nice japanese restaurant in Subiaco. Fresh and good quality of the fish. We took a 30 sushi-sashimi "tray" which is 52dollars and VERY nice. I also advise the black sesame ice cream as a dessert.
Nice little restaurant. Just a typical japanese music could be a + to feel more like in Japan.

i have confirmed with the restaurant owner.
they are only open for dinner EVERYDAY. 6pm to 9pm. sadly not serving lunch anymore.

this restaurant is located at a quiet corner of a car park no one will notice. so its kind of like a secret find in Subiaco, Perth! i think only locals will know this place!

Went in for dinner. Neat and simple Japanese restaurant which you can sit at the counter, probably about 4 tables that can sit two to four people. and at the back of the restaurant is elevated floor seating (traditional Japanese style!) that can easily fit big groups. looks very comfortable and cosy for big groups!
Their variety and prices are actually better compared to other Japanese restaurant in Subiaco! do give this restaurant a visit.

For a sunday 6.30pm, it is very quiet though i saw some reservations signs at the the floor seating tables. up till 7.30pm, only a family of four came in and also a lady who ordered takeaway.

Order two sets of food. One is sashimi set. Thick and fresh cut of sashimi! (comes with salad, rice, miso soup). Set no.2 - nicely stir fried and generous portion of ginger pork(also comes with salad, rice and miso soup).
We also ordered pork katsu don. i find that the pork is quite hard. but taste is ok.
Free flow of hot tea available.

Service is polite and sincere. maybe due to no other customers, our food comes out pretty fast.

Will definitely return for dinner again!
