Clever concept, fantastic service, and an essential treat on any visit to Auckland. But at the end of the day this is just ice-cream - good ice cream, but very expensive and very messy. What you are paying for is the picture of you holding up an elaborate dessert covered in all sorts of extras, and the occasional architectural wonder.
Service is superb, so don't be put off by the small queues. Staff roam the line, handing out menus, explaining how you put together your ice cream, then taking down your choices, and quickly delivering. And when you get your ice cream they freely hand out wipes to clean up the mess as your elaborate creation gradually disintegrates.
