The ride from the airport with plenty of laughs, the superb accommodations, world class view, the most excellent food and attention to detail, all done with care, friendliness and warmth combined to make our stay at the Ascott Parnell perhaps the best B & B experience ever. Bart & Therese went above & beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Thank you, thank you, Pat Fraser. Aldinga, S. Australia

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw were lovely. The view from the guest deck is wonderful.

I am so glad I found this B@B.Travelling with friends from Canada to New Zealand and also meeting up with my birth mother.Bart and Therese were unbelievably hospitable, always going the extra mile to make us feel relaxed in their luxurious hotel that has an atmosphere of home away from home.
We ate the most scrumptious breakfasts.I challenge Gordon Ramsay to stay at the Ascot and try Therese's Flemish Toast.!
I was impressed that no matter how busy Bart and Therese were they graciously helped us with further travel plans, and kindly gave my Mother and I a ride in their car to the Auckland Museum, and the BlueElephant for dinner. Both a must for those who visit Auckland. We could have taken a cab but riding in Bart's BMW was the icing on the cake!Put the Ascot on your list of places to stay. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and have plenty of room for luggage. The largest suite has a spectacular view...

A wonderful start and end to our trip to NZ. The room was lovely, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very nice. Bart and Therese are incredible hosts, making us feel so welcome we decided to finish our holiday here too.

Bart & Therese make you feel so welcomed in their home. Bart picked us up at the dock when we got off our cruise ship. We were unable to stay our first night with them because they had a full house. He took us to their B&B, introduced us to Therese and stored our luggage for us (coming from a cruise, we had a lot of luggage). They invited us for breakfast the next morning. We spent 3 nights with them and had wonderful breakfasts each morning. We picked from a menu that had a variety of menu items, including the normal poached, boiled and scrambled eggs.; vegetarian omelets; specialized Belgian omelets and waffles. What more can I say? Well...fresh fruit, juice, brown toast, farm ham, coffee or tea. What a terrific way to start a day.

The location of this B&B is very good and central to the Parnell area. You need to walk up 3 blocks to the main street of Parnell. There are many restaurants to choose from on Parnell Road, you are on a bus line on Parnell Road and you are not too far to go to the Auckland Museum.

Have just come back from 2 nights at the Ascot Parnell and really enjoyed it. Bart and Therese were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room (we had splashed out on the Bay View room ) was beautiful - spacious, well-appointed with lovely triple aspect views. This was definitely the most expensive place we had stayed in on our trip, but was a lovely way to end the holiday - and especially as the weather was quite grim whilst we were there, we got to enjoy it even more!

And if you get the chance to meet their beautiful Saluki dogs, that's an extra bonus!

Loved our stay at the Ascot Parnell - Bart and Therese the owners were such amazing hosts for our stay. Even during our planning stage for our trip, they were very helpful even gave us tips on the international inticracies of going through customs.

The accomodations are just as they appear in their website and the breakfast provided was simply awesome. My husband loved Therese' Flemish Toast, a unique touch to our trip to Auckand.

The hotel is very centrally located and we were able to either walk to most of the sights we wanted to see or hop on a bus.

Support the small local business in Auckland, you can't beat the service at the Ascot Parnell!

We loved the hosts, they couldn't be more generous in their and commitment to running the B&B as well as they do. Nothing went wrong with our stay except that it wasn't long enough. We were treated with the same respect we gave them, it was a nice quite atmosphere, accompanied by wonderful conversations. Because of our outstanding hosts, we will start looking for B&B's more often. We stayed in a hotel in Australia and we got what we exspected in any other hotel. Lack of comfort being #1. I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place like home. Nancy

Room Tip: I would exspect all the rooms would be as comfortable as ours was.
