Friends had suggested this place to me and I was eagerly anticipating a good meal. 25mins later I was discovering that being the first customers in the restaurant was probably not meaning I would be back at work anytime soon. The food descriptively written turned out to be as lame as a Mills and boon novel. No flavour, drier than the Canterbury plains.
Not sure if I will be back.

Came all the way from Canada on the recommendation of a friend my husband was served before me with cold braised beef -it should've been hot. I had the catch of the day but it tasted mainly of salt and quite fishy not fresh. The waitress was lovely. It was quite noisy very loud music being played outside , for a restaurant. Price for meals was absolutely not compatible with quality.
Perhaps this restaurant is best for a younger crowd with a less maturepallet. We would not return.

Adorable little restaurant tucked in behind other buildings and hard to find. Very warm/inviting space where they serve excellent, fresh foods and fantastic drinks.

Fantastic fantastic duck meal here with a perfect selection of wine. Service was great seeing they had to deal with a pretty boisterous pre Christmas group. Very satisfactory and certainly recommend you try.

Location was great opposite Sky Tower. Worth seeking out the entrance. I had walked past lots of times and not seen the restaurant only the sandwich board outside. The restaurant is upstairs and there is a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. Its quite spacious. Had the fish which was cooked to perfection, the beans I would have preferred to be cooked a little more as felt that they were straight out of the garden, however the potato skins were delicious. Service excellent. A very relaxing and enjoyable night.
