“Perfect in every way ”

We arrived a little early and we're warmly greeted by the owners Kitty and Peter.

The accommodation is a fantastic converted wood shed in the garden. It is very modern but also has those 1930's touches that reflect the area of Napier.

As we entered the room a radio in the corner was playing vintage 1930's music. But if you want TV you have a 42" Ltd TV with Netflix.

Breakfast arrived every morning at the agreed 9am. And boy oh boy was it good. Homemade bread, homemade scones. Jam, fruit yoghurt, homemade granola. Cheese and meats... Brilliant.

There's a swimming pool which you have use of but as it was Sept it was too cold to have a dip.

The accommodation is a short 5 min walk to the Bluff Hill lookout. With great views across the bay. It's also a 5 min drive into town.

I can rate this place higher than 5 stars if I could I would.

Perfect perfect perfect

Ps.... If you stay look out for Jerry's place!

“Perfect Romantic Getaway”
Reviewed March 25, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We loved everything about Bluff Hill B&B. On arrival ,we were warmly welcomed by owner-operators Kitty & Peter. Our cabin was ready for us, as was the pool, which was just what we needed after the drive from Gisborne. The setting is pure native bush, but the Bluff Hill lookout is just at the end of the road, if you need your sea-view fix. The cabin was immaculately furnished with an easy blend of vintage style and modern comfort and technology. Jazz was playing from the vintage-look internet radio, and fresh flowers completed the thought and attention to detail that has gone into making this the perfect cosy little cabin retreat. The big-screen TV did not distract from the decor, but made for a cosy cinema-style night in with a movie. A delicious breakfast of homebaked breads, cheeses, cold meats, eggs, fruit and cereals was brought to us from Kitty and Peter's equally beautiful pre-quake home every morning. We cannot fault anything about this place and the value for money was extraordinary. Thank you Kitty and Peter.

“Like your own little jungle retreat”
Reviewed February 1, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

This is an amazing little place. It is a converted log store that is now a cosy little cottage in a garden so surrounded by trees and ferns it feels like you are in your own private jungle.

The only drawback is the lack of space for your luggage; everything else is great. There is a utility area with sink, a nice bathroom, comfortable bed and large tv. There is also a deck with chairs and small table attached between them.

Kitty is a wonderful host. She provides a huge, almost completely homemade breakfast, and is thoroughly charming, welcoming and good humoured.

A real bonus is a lovely pool that guests can use as well as a large table, chairs and umbrella that Kitty is happy for guests to sit at. We had a great chat with her there. The cottage is only a short walk or drive from the Bluff Hill lookout and 3-4 minutes drive from the centre of Napier. If you stay here make sure you look for Jerry's little house.

We had an amazing stay at the Bluff Hill B&B! Kitty and Peter were exceptional hosts who provided us with some great tips about Napier and the surrounding region as well as wonderful conversation. We were blown away by the style and comfort of our room. It was extremely clean and we left with decorating ideas for our home. Kitty's breakfasts were delicious (homemade pastries and yogurts, fruit, cheese, eggs, and meat) and large enough to provide a lunch as well. We plan to stay at Bluff Hill B&B and in Napier on our next visit to New Zealand. Bluff Hill B&B was our home away from home - truly exceptional.

Accommodation is in a private quaint little cottage, although very small it has all the facilities you require. Kitty and Peter the hosts are on hand if required and know when to allow you privacy. Breakfast is continental style and brought to the cottage at the time requested. Fresh orange juice, muesli, cereal, home made bread and preserves are delicious.great location, great hosts I can recommend this b&b to anyone that appreciates that little bit extra.

We stayed for one night along our trip of the north island and left it wishing we had time to spend more in this quaint and unique bed and breakfast. The chalet itself is uncomparable to your normal b&b with its period finishes and 1920s feel. The breakfast was exceptional with everything from granola, mixed breads, fruits, homemade jams to cold meats and cheeses. Our host was more than helpful willing to point us in the right direction of things to do and places to eat. We stayed in a lot of places on our trip but this is the one we will remember.
