We stayed in the one bedroom apartment over the cellar door for 3 nights. We spent our time doing a hop on hop off wine tour and had lunch at Highfield one day as well as visiting other wineries in the area. Very relaxing time. Stephanie also organised us dinner one night that we could heat up later as the restaurant was not open for dinner. Food was delicious - we had share plates for dinner and then shared the gnocchi again for lunch as an entre and then the sirloin steak for main and then the creme brûlée and the pistachio and fig parfait for desert. All very yummy. Wine tasting was also delicious and we have ordered a mixed case to be delivered to Australia. Pete was a wonderful host of the cellar door and apartment and Stephanie could not have been better running the restaurant. All the staff were also more than helpful and lovely to chat to, We would highly recommend a visit to Highfield for wine tasting, lunch and to stay.
