We stayed here for a couple nights and I would describe the accommodation as very basic (I would attribute it more on 3-3.5 stars as opposed to 4) but suited our needs. It is very close to town - a 5 minute drive (10-15 max walk) and we found it to have an abundance of parking available if you have a vehicle. Staff at reception were friendly and happy to assist. Cleaning staff even did our dishes for us when we had to rush off first thing in the morning. The room itself was relatively clean, very basic but had the amenities required. We didn't find it to be noisy and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. A good range of options on the TV, Robert Harris coffee which was much appreciated and a table to sit and eat at. The bathroom felt a little out-dated and in need of a revamp however we couldn't really fault much. The free wi-fi was plentiful and worked well. A bonus was that we even had a slight view of the lake which wasn't expected from budget accommodation!

We came here for one night the room was clean the location is really good because is near to the center 5 minutes walking , the bathroom is a little uncomfortable and also for this price 150$ for night just I was expecting one room more space full .

Basic accommodation - wouldn’t call it modern! Lots of parking if you have a hire car.
Warm bed and shower, decent tv, friendly staff and close proximity to the town (less than 5 min walk)
Good price for where and what it is.

Stayed here for 3 nights and was very comfortable. Although near the Main Street into Queenstown, the rooms are quiet. Helpful friendly staff. Good guest laundry facilities - buy coins at reception but can do laundry at any hour. Full cooking facilities. Good heaters in rooms. Perfect spot to stay when you are in Queenstown as the downtown area is less than a 5 minute walk away so no need to pay the pricey fees for parking if you plan to spend time in the downtown area exploring.

Stayed in the upstairs corner unit opposite Stanley-Sydney Street intersection so kept curtains closed due to being on view to buses, traffic and pedestrians. Net curtains or window tinting would be welcome so you could have the curtains open with a view of the outside, even if it is only the apartments across the road. Our room had a second room with 2 single very narrow beds. Beds and pillows ok but not great. Room was large and functional with a third single bed in the main room with a table and 3 chairs and a large 2 seater sofa, TV lamps, and sufficiently equipped kitchen with large fridge-freezer, microwave but we didn't self cater in the end as too many good places to eat nearby. Bathroom with shower and toilet roomy. Arrogant young female reception staff at check in but we found that a lot in Queenstown so grew to expect it. Cleaners were friendly. Close to town centre down a steep hill on Coronation Drive and laneway shortcut to Camp Street. Would be a good option for 3 young singles sharing the cost and self catering but for not for us. It's not that much more expensive to stay at Rydges.
