Have wanted to stay here for years and now we finally have. Reception staff were friendly and helpful at check in and although the room was nice and really can’t complain about anything (maybe just some heating in bathroom would be nice, it did get rather chilly in there) we were a little disappointed with the room. With the name Madison spa resort, perhaps our expectations were a little too high,I don’t know, but it was not the resort/luxury feeling/look we had expected. However as I said I can’t really complain about anything, room was clean, serviced daily, had all your basic needs but it was just your typical motel room that you would expect at any other motel you might book into in Echuca Moama.

Positives
- adults only, so it was quiet (however, the restaurant was not adults only)
- the 2 reception staff we dealt with were very friendly
- gas fireplace and spa tub in the room was lovely
- beautiful, relaxing outlook, made us feel like we were not on a main road
- bath house looked very inviting (however we didn't get a chance to use it)

Negatives
- fire alarm had been removed prior to our arrival, as staff said it had been going off (pretty sure to have no fire alarm is illegal?)
- door lock was stiff and at times very hard to open
- our room wasn't serviced after our first night, which we discovered after a day out exploring. When we realised and contacted reception, housekeeping had already gone home so all that was done was to give us new towels and take our rubbish. Housekeeping had ticked our room off their to-do list without doing it
- most of the buttons on the remote didn't work (only discovered on our final night)
- wifi was so slow it was pointless
- we had noted on our booking that it was our 10 year anniversary. A simple card from management would have made a big impression
- robes would be a nice touch, to relax in after using the hot tub
- the hairdryer was one of those horrid old ones permanently attatched to the wall, with a too-short cord and 2 settings - "barely on" or "fry head". A hairdryer from this millennium would be nice
A kettle is provided in a little kitchen area but there was no powerpoint, so we had to take the kettle into the bathroom

Overall - a few small changes could make this really impressive - as it was, we were left feeling very "meh."

We live only 45 minutes from this resort, so for us it is the perfect weekend getaway. Rooms are always clean with a bush view from your window, staff were super helpful and the lady who did my spa treatment made me feel so comfortable and was very easy going. There is a Vietnamese resteraunt on site, or just a 5 minutes drive to the moama RSL which provides the most delicious variety of meals! My partner and I enjoyed using the bathhouse area which is small but quiet and tranquil. Lovely outdoor pool area for summer too. Have been to Madison spa twice and would continue to stay again!

Short stay, comfortable room, great bed. Nice and quiet room, spa in room and Day Spa at resort. Staff very accommodating, one stayed back later to fit me in, excellent. Restaurant limited choices, wouldn't suit all tastes, but wonderful service. Continental breakfast included in our package was sufficient for us, you could order hot though. Clean room, a bit dated now, but still practical.

Room Tip: Go for the spa room.

My husband and I stayed with another couple for 3 nights in this lovely resort. The fact that there were no children staying there suited us perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our room was upstairs and the spa bath overlooked the tree tops of the gum trees next door. It was extremely relaxing. The pool is lovely but a bit on the cold side. It would have been nice if the chill was taken off the water...Unfortunately, by the time we arrived the spa treatments on offer were all booked out for the duration of our stay. We ate at the Vietnamese restaurant at the hotel and the food was extremely good, although a little bit expensive...the service was very good too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking a relaxing place to stay

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms offer a nice view of tree tops for those having a spa
