Hands down the best hostel i stayed in while travelling.

Pros
- great location
- great staff
- fantastic communal areas
- rooms are super private
- really good nightly activities to get the travellers to mix
- bathrooms are good

Cons
- Cant smoke on the balconies

Loved staying in Bunk. As a solo traveller it was a great place to meet new people. Every night the staff try super hard to get everyone to mix. They have great drinks which you can buy from reception or bring your own into the hostel. The lads working there can be a bit rowdy but thats them just trying to show off. In general though a really good place to stay.

We stayed at BUNK in the middle of march for 2 nights. The beds are perfect, you have more privacy as in normal hostel rooms, your own light and a socket beneath your bed. There are lockers with a small safe inside, but you can‘t store all your stuff there, only valuables. The atmosphere was pretty good as well. Kitchen area and pool were nice, you had lockers for your food. But the kitchen was really bad equipped and really dirty (what is not the fault of the Hostel, but of the people) The bath was not that clean as well and you had ensuite bathrooms, what means sharing a toilet with 7 other people in an 8 bed dorm.
All in all it was a good stay, but I would recommend to chose a smaller room in order to avoid waiting a long time for going in the bathroom.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst in surfers, was booked into an 8 bed share dorm however when we got to reception we had been upgraded to a private room which was lovely after weeks of sharing dorms and bathrooms. The room was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in with fresh bedding, towels and toiletries that were changed everyday. The hostel kitchen is very big and well equipped, also kept very clean. There are events on an evening such as bbq and pub crawls which are fun. Recommended hostel. Will stay here again for sure!!

The best hostel I have stayed in! This place is more like a hotel than a hostel. Everything from check in to lounge areas to bedrooms were spot on. Reception staff appeared to be permanent members of staff rather than backpackers which from previous experience can be rude and more bothered about chatting with their mates than helping you out at the desk, whereas these were professional at all times.
On arrival I asked to be upgraded from an 8 bed to a 6 bed, willing to pay the difference. The receptionist had informed me that I’d actually been upgraded for free to a 4 bed as they were fully booked that night and had to do some shuffling around. Bonus!
Positives -
Lovely reception area and staff
Clean and tidy kitchen (one of the only places I cooked for myself as it was clean)
Bunk beds gave you privacy
Balcony
Modern rooms and en suite bathrooms
Lovely common area
Nice pool area and outside space
Close to greyhound bus station
Close to beach and shops
Great air conditioning

Negatives -
Honestly can’t think of any negatives apart from the lift being slow!!

Great place and would 100% recommend

Bunk is a hostel but has much more of a up class theme and layout
Spacious dorms with light and power supply.
Some renovation work goin on at the moment but didn't cause a disturbance. Lockers in room weren't working but reception happy to hold valuables securely which was great. Definitely a place to stay in Gold Coast.
