First visit to this restaurant. Top shelf service and food. Valet parking was super convenient. Waiter was very attentive and never left us waiting . Scottish salmon was out of this world . A little pricy but definitely worth the cost.

Whilst visiting South Australia recently my friend and I had dinner at Capriccio Italian Restaurant at Glenelg. The service was impeccable and the food was sensational. All in all the evening was a wonderful culinary experience.

We arrived in time for our 6pm reservation which seemed to throw about 5 staff, including the owners, into a tizz. Awkward. We were then eventually seated by a wannabe comedian Maître D. We had to ask for water. Later, after what seemed like an age, we had to ask for our drinks order to be taken. The aircon was way too cold. The music was too loud. The decor was so dated and I can’t imagine it ever having been in fashion. Bricks and old Italian style paintings from the 70s, including the Mona Lisa surrounded us. The waitress could only cope with one question at a time, continually scurrying off to a more knowledgeable person. The dishes we’d selected prior from the online menu weren’t available yet. Why were they on your webpage then?? And then, “Would you like your mains yet?” we were asked after our garlic bread. Odd question for a 30 year old restaurant to ask its patrons. You determine the timing, not the diner.
Half way through our mains, the owner interrupted our meals by removing all wine glasses not being used. Most bizarre behaviour indeed. The meals were tasty but way overpriced. It’s taken me 30 years to eat here with a lot of restaurant experiences in the meantime. Value for money it is not. Time to come into the 21st century or your business will die when your ageing population customers do.

Soon as u walk in u can see it’s tired ,definitely needs to be refurbished. The food was great I had The marinara just a little skimpy on the seafood but the flavour was very good. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals , I’ll be back

Could not ask for more friendly and welcoming service. Greeting at the door and continued checking in with us throughout the evening. Prompt serving of food which was well presented and tasty. Short but thoughtful wine list.
