Stayed one night, room clean and comfortable. Bit noisy during the evening with lots of children playing in car park fronting rooms. The food in the restuarant was excellent, one of the best steaks I have ever had!!

It's not much to look at, but comfortable, quiet and well-located. Run by friendly, helpful people and there's the usual Australian motel deal of parking right outside your door. Smart modern bathroom and excellent shower. Free internet. Very close to the centre of Hamilton, an attractive and prosperous old town still based on the local wool industry. Being right next to the town's botanical gardens is also nice.

Stayed here for two nights over the xmas/new years break, there was only two other rooms occupied by the looks of it, so very quiet. Car parking is outside the room, large car spaces which was good, but didn't need to worry as so few people staying there.

It's in a good spot, short walk to the main street, over the road from the botannical gardens which were nice. Say "g'day" to the emu in the gardens if you visit.

Room was clean enough, bit old and smelt kind of funny, but clean so that's the main thing. Small TV and bed not real comfortable, but it was fine for what it is.

We stayed an extra night due to a problem with our previous accomodation (see my mildura review for the story) and there's not a lot to do in Hamilton so we got a bit bored. The room didn't really make you want to stay in and relax (no sitting area), so we spent our time out and about.

I should say the staff were very helpful and very accomodating of our changed itinerary. Full marks to them. Old fashioned country hospitality.

Had a restaurant on-site, but was closed while we were there.

Make sure you visit the big wool bales if you're visiting Hamilton.

Booked this hotel as it was rated number one on Trip Advisor.

Check in was really friendly and when we got to the room I was surprised to see that it appeared to be in the process of being done up. The bedhead was new, there were some nice, modern touches and the bathroom looked quite new as well.

One of the really great things was the hot water! It was instant and really warm in that chilly climate.

Carpet was old, but it was confirmed by a local that the place is being improved bit by bit, so it will probably be replaced at some point.

Saw the sign 'Under New Management' - and thought I would give it another go. I travel about once a month through regional victoria and was pleased to meet new owners Tom and Amelia! Lots of new changes have been made including amazing food in the restaurant (I had the Rib-eye) and left in the morning with a fantastic take-away latte! Apparently Austar is on the way and the free wireless broadband was a bonus. The rooms are clean and good value - and the proximity to the Botanical Gardens cant be beaten for a pre-brekkie jog! Will be back next month!
