We booked lunch in advance for two families. After we had sat down and ordered , which was very efficient , the adults disappeared for a spot of wine tasting. Kids were drawing on provided drawing sheets.
I won't make this a wine review but Leeuwin Estate is one of the best known wineries in this area. Its Chardonnay in particular is world famous.
The setting is outstanding. The seating and views over the grass are wonderful. And if the kids want to run off and play then you have a perfect viewing point ..
The food was very expensive. It was nice, portions were not large, and if I'm honest probably not as good value as elsewhere. However we were there for the overall Leeuwins experience so we bit our lips and carried on.
Even though pricey , it's just one of the locations you have to tick off the list on any visit to Margaret River wine region...
