Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner Joy and her colleague. Joy gave us a brief history of how she and Simon started the idea of having a sanctuary. We were amazed to learn that they had built all chalets entirely on their own! Joy was so kind to cool the chalet with the air-conditioning prior to our arrival. We were exhausted from the drive and was glad to be able to rest comfortably in the cozy cooling chalet.

We stayed for two nights at SHEOK chalet. The chalet was self-contained with a well-equipped kitchen. Whatever you need, the kitchen has it! They even had a washing machine and a spa in the chalet. My MIL was very impressed.

The main highlight of our stay - meeting the local residents of course! MIL and kids were totally elated to find Kangaroos, Woylies, Possums and Bandicoots roaming at our patio everyday. We even bought lots of carrots, bananas and apples to feed them. MIL and kids would sit at the patio every morning, waiting eagerly for the Kangaroos to appear! Especially the Mama Kangaroos and their Joeys. Being able to come in close contact with wildlife is totally an unforgetable experience for city dwellers like us!

It was great too that Yelverton Brook is conveniently located to many of the attractions in the Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River regions. We went to Busselton Jetty, Margaret River Town as well as the Margaret River Mouth. Plently of awesome view.....totally breathtaking. A newly opened Coles was also located just nearby.

Everyone of us enjoyed the stay very much. Till now, we still talk about the Kangaroos, wondering how the Kangaroos are doing.....

Thank you Joy and Simon for sharing with us such a wonderful place.

Hi Gradypoon thank you for the nice review, we are happy to hear of your enjoyment in staying here with your family.
We do say we are the middle of the universe being only 15mins to Margaret River, Dunsborough & Busselton.
Also now with Coles Supermarket in Vasse is only 12kms away & open until 8pm & days a week.
So handy for our guests.
Kind regards Joy & Simon

We have been a few times now and honestly, the second you turn off the car engine you breathe a sigh of relief. There is nothing other than the sound of bugs and birds, it oozes tranquility. There is such peace in this place it actually seeps through your being and you leave feeling like you have really had a break.
A bonus is that your peace is interrupted only by the cutest of native residents, largely four legged or feathered. A perfect peace.

Room Tip: We have only ever stayed in Banksia cottage which is lovely.

We stayed overnight to relax and unwind from a long day travelling and this was the perfect place. Our Chalet was beautifully appointed with all our needs catered for and Simon and Joy are fantastic hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and even met the locals: Kanga, Woylie and Bobtail! And we highly recommend that you visit Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat for a truly unique experience. We will definitely be back to stay longer.

We enjoyed a two night stay in a very well appointed chalet. Meeting the kangaroos, Woylies, possums and variety of birds for the evening feed is an experience not to be missed. A morning stroll along the walk trail revealed an array of wildflowers in full bloom and birds (stunning blue wrens, honeyeaters, parrots, red-tailed and white-tailed black cockatoos, fantails, just to name a few). The Retreat is conveniently located to many of the attractions in the Busselton/Dunsborough/Margaret River regions. Would recommend a stopover at this delightful place

Room Tip: Chalets are secluded and separated from each other

Thanks folk for the nice review, just to let you know the closest super market is now only 12kms away in Vasse as our chalets are self contained with a full kitchen & gas bbq at each private spa chalet.
