We were in Greymouth only very briefly- less than 12 hrs. We stayed here and were amazed at the rooms! Super comfortable bed, spacious room, kitchenette, huge walk in bathroom- just fantastic.
We did find that the rooms got a bit warm and stuffy if windows were closed (no fan or air conditioning) but if windows were open a lot of noise came in (other guests, road noise, street noise). We would have loved the option for at least a pedestal fan. Otherwise, fantastic accommodation!

I had stayed here before with the previous owners which was why I re-booked.
Friendliness and service was quite as good, new owners seemed a little flustered. Rooms where comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Even though it is on the main road there was no road noise.

My husband and I stayed in Greymouth as part of our honeymoon trip to New Zealand. The host was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. I’d recommend to others!! We even rented a movie from the front desk!

Stayed one night as part of a small tour group. My room was large and very well appointed. It was scrupulously clean and the Wi-Fi was free. Staff were excellent and had our room keys, etc. waiting when arrived. I would definitely stay at Coleraine Motel when next visiting Greymouth. Our group ate dinner and breakfast at Buccleugh's on High over the road.

This establishment really needs to address the lack of air conditioning being on a busy, noisy road. Since we arrived on a Sunday we were blissfully unaware of what was in store. Granted it has double glazing but not much benefit in summer. Not even a fan in the unit! We booked a one bedroom to have some space and a comfy sofa to sit on. Sofa was a futon style sofa bed so not relaxing and positioned in a very odd place in the living area. The bedroom was cramped with little space for luggage. There was a prominent light coloured stain on the carpet which should have been fixed. This was by far the most expensive place on our two week trip around the upper South Island and we question it's star rating. No recommendation from us.
