The perfect B&B with a sensational Mountain backdrop view. A quiet stream full of Wildlife (100year Eels, Trout, Ducks) and an Admiral Creighton (White Cockatoo) that talks.
Not to mention the little dog.

The Hosts were very friendly and the Breakfast got the day off to a great start with all the International guests getting together. Kaikoura is a lovely spot.

Hi Peter,
Yes and no, Yes the New Zealand Long fined Eels can and do live to 100 yrs+ but the ones you were looking at are best around 50 years and only half grown. Sorry if I gave the impression of them being older what I say is they can live for 100 years and the females reach up to 2 mtrs in length.

Thanks for your kind words about our place Thank you for staying with us

Clean friendly bb with comfortable bedrooms and sitting areas. House dog and bird friendly, as are owners but not intrusive. Rooms reasonably private although walls can be thin. Private baths. Breakfast cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. good for a stay on your way.

Nice location and very genial hosts. We opted for a twin room when we booked and unfortunately this room was not ensuite and a very small room. A first for us since about 1970's to cross the hall for the bathroom! Saying that, bed was comfy and a peacefully nights sleep, breakfast was good. Lounge facilities good with sky tv. Just a ten minute walk to The Lobster Inn for dinner which is more than adequate.

Room Tip: Ask for double with ensuite

We travelled from Dunedin to Kaikoura and booked this on the day while travelling. What a lovely surprise. A clean and tidy and well set b&b. The owners were most obliging even though we arrived well into the evening. Breakfast was most enjoyable meeting the other guests. The feeding of the eels and trout is a must see - amazing. Wish we could have spent more time.

Clean, comfortable with exceptional hosts. Very accommodating and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. Great location and very decent eateries in the neighbourhood. Close to nice attractions in the area.
