Stayed here one night for the Copenhagen marathon as my flight home was straight after the race. Pleased I did. Worked out really well. I can see why it has a good rating. Got a good rate booking direct compared with city centre hotels. The rate also included breakfast. Travel to and from the city centre was quicker and easier than I was expecting. The metro station is a minute's walk via escalator and covered walkway. The metro took 10-15 minutes to get to the centre. Took the train back from the centre which took 12 minutes and got off at the airport station, which is a couple of minutes and all covered. So plenty of options, all quick and easy, especially with a small city pass as I had. Had a room on the 8th floor with a view of the airfield and bridge, if you ignore the building going up next door, but there was no work. The room was huge! It was clean and of a very good standard. Also it was quiet. Would've preferred one duvet rather than the two smaller ones. Bathroom like the room was huge, with a bath and separate shower. Only niggle was the gels/handwash etc. were in large dispensers attached to wall by the sink and in the shower, bit of a faff if you're using the bath, but that's being really picky. Refilling the bottles is better from an environmental perspective I suppose. Can't comment on food other than breakfast as the menu for the restaurant didn't look that appealing so didn't eat in the hotel. Took the train to Fields shopping centre instead and had a meal at an Italian there, as quick and easy to get there. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stored my bag for me which was good. Would've given 5 stars if staff could've gone the extra mile in helping sort me a place to shower before heading for my flight home, but shouldn't detract from what was a good hotel and good stay. On a par with my stay at the Vienna Hilton last year. Would stay here again if visiting Copenhagen and recommend to others for a nights stopover, or quality base. Worked really well for getting to the start of the marathon.
