This hotel just ticks all the boxes! Friendly, efficient staff, elegant but cosy interior, fantastic surroundings. We had booked the so called romantic package, double room, 3-course dinner and breakfast. Upon arrival, we were treated to chocolate-covered strawberries in our room (in the annex) and there was a capsule coffee maker. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Very quiet. There is free parking right outside. Free wifi. The only small drawback is that there is no covered passage-way from the annex to the main building. This was not a problem during our stay since it was June and nice and sunny, but had it been a cold and rainy day, it would have been a bit uncomfortable to get to and from our room. Looks like there are doors at the back of the main building, so perhaps that could be arranged some time. Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is a nice open patio (with canopies!) in front of the main building with a big bar. The hotel has a restaurant which was excellent but I’ll rate that separately. Beautiful dining rooms. There are stairs to negotiate in the main building, did not see a lift. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. The hotel is just a stone’s throw away from a nice little beach if you fancy a dip in the Baltic Sea! All-in-alll a very pleasant experience, will recommend and most likely come again.

I had booked dinner, a room for the night and breakfast. This hotel lives up to all recommendations!
The pleasant "welcome" at the reception.
The outstanding dinner - my husband and I chose different menues, and we were both more than satisfied.
The lovely room.
The overwhelming "how-can-I-choose-from-so-many-things" breakfast.
The most friendly staff.
I cannot wait to return.

Perhaps if you are lucky enough to stay in the main building this is a great hotel but the annex is pretty bad. The rooms are SUPER noisy. The cars passing in the street outside are literally only a few feet from the window which must not be very high quality as you can hear right through it. There's a giant pillar in the middle of our room which, while quaint I guess, provides a significant barrier to moving around in the room and is really an obstruction for my tall husband. The parking area is also noisy and just outside the front of the room so noise coming from both sides. No AC and with the street noise we certainly can't leave a window open for some air. The main hotel doesn't seem to have any kind of seating area or lobby to hang out it. We waited a long time to check in standing in a busy area with wait staff coming and going as there is no reception area. So...not sure what the fuss is about because we didn't experience anything special. Quite disappointing.

Room Tip: Avoid the annex, especially the first floor that backs to the street if you want a quiet night.

We had a two day gourmet weekend and loved every minute. The staff was friendly without being intrusive and had a good general knowledge about the food and wine we enjoyed. A sommelier and a barista helped with wine and coffee selection with great skill. Expensive - yes, but not many good things come free.

Room Tip: Rooms in the old building costs extra and unless you need to see the sea from your balcony, book a room in the new building.
