I was immediately welcomed into the hotel by Roberto who was extremely hospitable and helpful. The place is beautiful and the breakfast delicious. The room was very comfortable and it had a beautiful balcony. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Stayed for almost two weeks with my family and felt right at home!
We were pampered every morning with a wonderful pool side breakfast serenaded by birds and bossa nova jazz.
We had a very ample family room which accommodates five very comfortably.
The staff was more than helpful with our needs. They helped us set our day trips to Ihla Grande, to the wonderful cachoeira in Conceição Jacarei and to Praia Garatucaia.
Praia Conceição and the Pier is a mere five minute walk from the Pousada.
The owner speaks perfect English and Spanish and is a wonderful cook and we had the best shrimp I have ever tasted!
I loved the decor, every room is different.
If you like books, the living area is stocked from floor to ceiling!

On my stay, I felt comfortable and safe and that was the most important for me. ... and definetly I enjoyed the friendly enviroment...The place is clean... The staff are so kind... I hope you will enjoy your stay as well....

It is really a nice pousada. I liked having breakfast at the pool and the staff was so kind and funny. Even they gave us a lift to the pier and were supporting us with our plans to visit Ilha grande.
So if you need a good accommodation, take this one. If you need any support or help, just give them a ring...

We walked in dogs' poops in the garden (there were a lot); the place was disgusting and all the equipments were tinkered. Dogs barking all night long, competing with a rooster. Comfort and property not even at the level of a one night hotel in Europe. There is a swimming pool but I would never swimm in it. The hotel is totally shriveled.
The main reason we are addressing this comment this late is because this property is now under new management. We recently purrchased the pousada and are terribly sorry for what happened to these guests. The New Pousada do Sossego Jacareí hás been fully refurbished utlizing the wonderful spaces it had, modernizing installations and it is a whole different place. Please see the new photos showing the changes. Thank you.
