Many things to do in the area. We took many hikes but our two favourite places were Comox Lake and Nymph Falls. Had ice cream in Cumberland where Japanese and Chinese immigrants who came over to Canada to work in the mines in the early 1900’s left a lasting legacy. There are trails that memorialize them on the way to Comox Lake that made for some interesting history lessons with the grandkids.
We spent 8 wonderful nights at this beautiful house. There were 9 of us sharing these accommodations and it was very comfortable for everyone. The house was well equipped with dishes for eating and for cooking. It also had lots of extra blankets and sheets if needed. It has a lovely fireplace and lots of wood to burn in it. We would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a great place to gather your family or just get away!
This large and cozy cabin had a beautiful view of the water and Denman island. The owners spoiled us with everything from bath salts to massage chair to gym equipment. The area is also fascinating with good food, shops and museums - I highly recommend digging fossils with the Courtenay Museum! Our entire group (ages 19-82) enjoyed ourselves thoroughly...
Excellent vacation house. Very nice bedrooms and three bathrooms. Clean, pleasant and the owner was helpful. All in all this was a good vacation house.
