The rooms are lovely and clean and spacious.. Ensuites are good size and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful..the motel is close to shops, restaurants. Plenty of things of interest close by.. And the swimming pool is the best.

Cumberland Motor Inn is a wonderful Motel in just the best location to walk anywhere in town and the rooms are spacious and very clean and nicely decorated. The Motel is very quiet and the staff are helpful. Highly recommend

The room was clean and tidy, the location is quiet (not on main street) but within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Whilst it is an older facility, it has had some renovations carried out. The continental breakfast (included) was very filling and a great way to start each day.

This is a very pleasant place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely clean rooms. Great central location in Cessnock, 15 minutes drive to the vineyards.
I'm a regular visitor and will continue to choose this hotel.

A quick over night from our long-drive between Sydney to Gold Coast. We had a day in Newcastle Sand dunes & Hunter Valley vineyards, so we decided to stop by in Cessnock. This accommodation is exactly like country-side-motel experience. At first, I just thought it was a quite old premise, however, the spaciousness of the room & bathroom, made us fine. Cleanliness was acceptable, although dusts could still be founded at some hidden spots. We couldn’t set the Air-con (not handy, or maybe broken, no idea!!), it was bit warm afterwards, thankfully, it was winter, so it was alright to sleep in. The bed was comfy, the pillows were so-so. It provided microwave, cutleries, mini-bar, dining table, iron-set, nice couch, and local TV channels. The bathroom was quite clean, with good pressures of hot & cold water. We were happy with our quick stay & acceptable rate too. Location is nearby the shopping areas.

This motel is located parallel to the main street of Cessnock and next door to Peden's Hotel but despite this it is surprisingly quiet - that's outside, inside is a different story. Surprisingly the aircon in our room was set on 30c but it was barely warm, however it rattled and chugged so noisily that we had to turn it off in order to sleep. We decided to turn the temperature down to 29c to see if that decreased the noise but it began blowing cold air!
The room was dated but clean and comfortable, had tea and coffee making facilities and a bar fridge.
