Words and photos don't do it justice, the sheer scale and beauty has to be seen to be believed. And venture off the beaten track to escape the crowds for some solitude.

Took a trip into the Blue Mountains & was mesmerised by the views, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking & the photos just don’t do it justice, we went via Scenic World & purchased the pass to provide access to the Skyway with a glass bottomed walkway, the cable car & the railway which is almost vertical at 52 degrees, totally enthralled & worth every penny (cent), don’t come as far as Sydney or any neighbouring boroughs & not visit, it would be a crying shame to miss out, we went with Jason from AAT, he was a font of knowledge & a great guide & squeezed in an extra scenic lookout, just amazing!

I have been round Katoomba a d what amazed me one is able to see these magnificent mountains from many different locations.
To think for how long these vast mountains have been around one can only be in awe seeing it’s beauty. There are many houses around the area which is protected and the houses are built over very steep grounds and these lucky people can see all this every day. Whilst you and I can only feast our eyes when visiting.

Enjoyed it, worth the visit. The view from top to bottom is just breathtaking.

Prams are accessible. If you want to go further down its all steps from there.

We got there a little after 8am right before the big crowds started coming in. So if you want to take good photos without others having to battle for a perfect spot then earlier is better.

Out there is just to beautiful. You will never be disappointed xx

We took the train from Sydney to Katoomba, which was no problem with the Opal card. Further, one can use an Opal card to get around in Katoomba. During our ride from Sydney to Katoomba it started to get cloudy. Once we reached Katoomba it even started to rain. Upon reaching the lookout point, the three sisters were completely covered in clouds, which was at first rather disappointing. We first walked to the three sisters and started to get to know where they probably are through the clouds. Once we reached the three sisters, we actually had a pretty amazing view. The clouds basically were stopped by the three sisters. Therefore, one could see kilometres to left but hardly a few meters to the right. The scenic walk was also really lovely. Overall a trip from Sydney to the Blue Mountains is well worth it and if you like to hike also really doable by public transportation.
