I have been staying in this hotel nearly every year for past 5 years for the Annual Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival which is held at the venue.
Needless to say prices during these weekends can be very expensive.
The Carrington is a beautifully restored heritage style hotel with luxuriously appointed rooms on most floors. The only drawback is not all rooms are air-conditioned so it is advisable to discuss one's requirements before finalising bookings.
The biggest inconvenience is the single and very antiquated lift.

Room Tip: Ensure careful selection of rooms for appointments, style, price and accessibility.

We spent 1 night at this iconic hotel and loved the whole experience which included dinner and breakfast. Our room was excellent with king size bed and views in two directions. Very comfortable and also very relaxing. Had afternoon tea on the verandah which was so the relaxing part.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny.

If you are looking to step back in time and want to appreciate the old with the new them this is the place to stay.
Staff is friendly and helpful

Breakfast is absolutely basic which was a disappointment.
The room is spacious
The cleanliness needs to be improved
Around the bathroom door handles it is very dirty
The spa bath looked as if it has not been cleaned in a very long time
Empty cups have been placed on a table and have not been removed during the 5 days of our stay
There was no sugar with complimentary tea and coffee in the room - luckily we did not need any
The mattress desperately needs replacement

Stayed: April 2018, travelled as a couple

We stayed here for two nights on our visit to the Blue Mountains. This is a gem in the area! If you like a bit of history and some good old fashioned comfort, this is where you'll want to stay. The grand old building is just that! Grand! The town is a short walk away. The art work in the halls is also historically amazing! The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. So, all in all it is a great place to stay!

Throughly enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel , the dining room was grand and the staff did a exceptional service. Sitting around the lounge room fire place each night having a pre dinner drink before dinner was very relaxing,
