We'd planned to find a nice Fish n Chip shop and take away to our unit balcony.

We walked down James St and people were lined up, so we did too. They have a nice little seating area, but we were still determined to eat at the unit.

I ordered fish n chips and 2 chiko rolls (first chiko rolls in >10 years). We were happy.

It took a long time, i'd say at least 30 mins, so factor this in if its busy.

Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful (size of scope of chips -v- price).

It met our expectations.

This fishmonger does the best tasting take away fish and chips I have tasted in Queensland. It is a very busy take away but the 20 min wait is worth it. Wrap it up and have it sitting on the beach.

Super tasty fish and chips worth the drive from Coolangatta. Wifey had the Dory crumbed and it was amazing I had the snapper which was tasty as well but I think hers was better.

I really wanted to like this place after the mostly good reviews and craving some great fish n chips one day. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. Soggy under cooked flake (from South Africa!!), chewy Snapper, over cooked chips and potato cake all made our lunch experience truly forgettable! Not worth the wait or the hype. Far better options available elsewhere.

I had heard good things about this place (not so much from tripadvisor) but from other blogs and whenever we walked past it was always super busy so thought that must of been a good sign.

We ordered just the usual, a few pieces of flake, calamari rings and chips. The fish flake didn't taste fresh at all and the batter was super soggy. Chips were also very bland, not enough salt on them and not one crunchy chip in sight. Calamari rings were the best part of the meal but still just your typical breaded fried calamari rings.

Wouldn't go back there considering there are so many other places to eat in burleigh. Pretty disappointed!
