This is a must-do for any trip to the Sunshine Coast. The fresh seafood is first-rate, often fresh from the trawlers. The cooked seafood is good too, though a bit pricey & our chips weren't cooked well.

Fresh fish but expensive.
Delicious fresh fish to choose from to BBQ back at your apartment or cooked prawns a meal in themselves.
A very popular place for fish and chips (especially during the holidays). Order inside where you are given a numbered buzzer that lights when your meal is ready. Then collect it at the window.
Happy eating

We got 1kg of the Large Mooloolaba Prawns and 2 Moreton Bay Bugs (cooked and cracked ready to eat). Really fresh. Similar to Sydney Fish market prices, however a lot cheaper than sitting in a restaurant ordering the same thing.

Take-away and head back to your hotel, glass of wine and watch the sunset... Amazing.

The fish and prawns come straight of the boats at the wharf and into the shop. You can buy fresh prawns, as we did one day, get a takeaway cooked snack/ meal or go upstairs where they provide cooked food and a view over the fishing boats.
We had lunch here and it was one if the best snapper meals we ever tasted at a very reasonable price. They also do good NZ wines to have either by the bottle or by the glass. Not elegant dining but fantastic fresh fish cooked to perfection.

We had a dozen oysters and some prawns, both of these were amazingly fresh and tasty. We also order hot chips and a piece of crumbed cod. The cod was nice but chips were very disappointing, they were over cooked and dry. We sat on the upstairs deck which was a great place to sit for lunch. The deck is licensed so you can have a drink with lunch and enjoy the view, maybe we had a bad batch of chips.
