What an absolutely delightful find. Roadtesting my new car on an impromptu quick drive from Benalla and happened across this oasis. Lunch time, hungry, so called in. Quiet, pleasant surroundings, magnificent outlook, friendly homely service, reasonably priced and THE best Steak sandwich. Thankyou Sam and crew for brightening my day. Worth the drive.

Imagine a picturesque wetland, and imagine getting a Melbourne standard breakfast, lunch and coffee! Then imagine getting all this at Melbourne prices. Its true, really good food, service, variety and even some decent drops on the wine list. I recommend a detour if you're in the area.

Spectacular and unique views of the water and trees in a quiet and peaceful area. A photographer's delight. A boardwalk or binoculars would have been good to have a more close-up view of the beautiful scenery. This area being restored back to a natural wetlands is huge. The roads within the wetlands area to the more remote walks were not sealed, and being such a vast and quiet area, we decided not to go there without a four wheel drive.

Recently revisited the Hub Cafe for our meeting and lunch. Great food, good service, stunning outlook and new activities around the site. So lovely with the water full. Recommend this for couples, friends, family and a meeting venue with class.

When in the Benalla region make sure you visit the Winton Wetlands.
Not only do the volunteers make you feel welcome the food and drinks and the views are wonderful.
Knowing that part of what you pay goes to maintaining this beautiful place is a bonus and money well spent.
