One of the delights of dining near the beach is enjoying a view of the ocean. Sadly some establishments fail to back up their stunning views with the basics, like friendly service and a good menu.
The Waterboy Cafe is the reverse. Being located away from the main Cowes beach, it makes up for the lack of ocean views with an excellent menu that includes breakfast all day, friendly, non-intrusive service and very nice coffee. The cafe design is warm and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our zucchini soup and eggs benedict. Although not inexpensive the overall quality made for good value for money.
We will make a point of visiting the Waterboy cafe when next in Cowes.

Thank you for your review!
We love it when people enjoy there visit to our cafe.
There is a slight problem; I'm not sure where you sat, i'm not sure how
you could possibly miss our huge picture window at the back with
magnificent views of the ocean.
Please come and take a look we would love to see you again.

Great all-round cafe. Ambience leaves others on the Island well behind. Coffee and food selections top notch. Well run and friendly. Fairly new but many people talking about it. Strongly recommend.

Meet some to of owners for lunch here on the advise of other locals who have raved about this cafe.
The small lunch menu and wine list did not disappoint and within a short time, although quite busy, our orders had been taken, the wine was being poured by the very friendly owner and our meals had arrived. The cafe style burgers and turkish roll were excellent.
Lingering over coffee made for a most enjoyable time. We will be back!!

Went there for the first time this weekend as a family. Had a variety of breakfast dishes all of which were of a good standard, coffee was nice and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

This restaurant doesn't have the madness of Mad Cowes (no pun intended), and we actually went past Mad Cowes on the way home and it had a queue out of the door......

So walk in and we were warmly greeted, and seated immediately. It did get busier and people had to wait so go early (we were there at 9am Sunday).

We had scrambled eggs on toast (mine and very nice eggs were a little overcooked), Bacon and eggs (low point as they serve streaky bacon and will have to ask for something else next time) and poached egg done well.

Coffee was of good quality, not burnt and quick.

All in all worth the $41, no complaints from me. Nice atmos, not to noisey and will go again. Loose a star for the scrambled egg and streaky bacon.

We took our family here for breakfast after discovering it earlier on our morning walk. The place was crowded but the lovely waiter advised us he would put us on a wait list and would keep us posted as to our progress. Which he did! He regularly popped back to let us know how much longer he thought it would be and to offer us menus so we could start making our choices.

The wait ended up being relatively short (given there are 5 of us were used to having to wait).

Once we'd ordered the coffees and food came in reasonable time and we couldn't fault it. We ate eggs Benedictine, porridge, smashed Avi and the acai bowl. All of it was great! My porridge was soft and smooth and delicious. The coffee was great.

We loved the friendly vibe of the place. The owner was delightful as we're all the staff.

We'll be back!
