We have stayed at Christies Seahorse a number of times and only just got around to writing this review. Our first booking was over the new year period a few years ago and there was a mix up in the booking system and there was a double booking, we were not happy that we had to find another place but it end up working out as we found another place. John was very apologetic and offered us a great rate to book for another date. Im so glad that we took John up on his offer and we love Christies Seahorse and have returned on a number of occasions for a quick getaway as it is right on the beach front and compared to other places we have stayed at on the beach this is so well priced, fantastic value for money for a family getaway. It almost feels like our second home, we have returned a few times with other family and friends who have all loved it. What a location, we love lying on the bed and hearing the ocean, looking at the beautiful beach views, we love sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset. The beach is beautiful its not busy like other beaches so at times we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The kitchen has everything that you need, continental breakfast, wine is supplied. We love the corner spa in the bathroom. Its 2 story, so our kids were able to watch a movie downstairs while we had our own private tv in our bedroom lounge area. We will keep returning as its an affordable getaway on the beach.

Room Tip: Seahorse is my favourite as its on the corner and has great views of both streets

Hi Nikki,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. We really apprecite it. We'd also like to comment that we really try to give excellent service every time, but realise that when we do make a mistake it really impacts on our guests so we always try to make it up in some way. We're so glade you gave us another try and have enjoyed your stays at Christies Seahorse.

Regards

Very little to complain about. A few minor things like lamps and lights not working but that's easily fixed. Location is a bit of a problem with the sewage treatment plant close. The wind direction plays a part there. The only other concern was the garage isn't deep enough to hold my car (Colorado). Other than those, a great stay.

Room Tip: best views... there are 4 side facing and 4 sea facing units

Hi Kirbrit,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're always happy to respond to maintenance issues whenever they arise. We try to check everything works between guest but obviously missed the light globes.

it is a great spot right on the beach and whilst the waste water treatment works is nearby we find it generally unobtrusive...

WE aim to provide good value, clean, comfortable accommodation in a great location.

Thank you again.

We recently stayed here over the June long weekend and it was a perfect base to explore down south of Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. The accommodation was very easy to find and was spacious for the whole family. It was clean and had everything that we required including breakfast provisions and laundry facilities. Well located on the Esplanade overlooking the beach.
