We stopped by mid-week for two nights (two adults and a teenager) and spent most of our time in Albany out and about exploring the excellent ANZAC memorials and other attractions, so didn't get to see much of our hosts at this lovely property.
Stablebase is quality accommodation that delivers exactly what it promises - out of the hustle and bustle but still offering easy access to the many attractions in the area and the town centre. The accommodation is well designed and fitted out with quality furniture fittings and utensils, and we were welcomed with an unexpected selection of fresh eggs, bread and jams etc.
Although it's self-contained, it is closely integrated into the main house (think attached Granny flat) with a common entrance which limits privacy somewhat. I also would have liked to have seen a dishwasher in the kitchen. Both of these are minor issues, and we had a very pleasant couple of days staying here.More
