By staying at On The Beach Noosa, (this is the restaurant that sits below), this was a natural choice to dine at Boardwalk Bistro.

My sister and I initially had a struggle with the wine menu as we prefer to taste before we buy- thankfully we settled after our delightful waitress helped with a recommendation. It was a great bottle. Full credit to her.
Our entree (scallops) was exquisite; the almond butter and balsamic plus small rocket/capsicum side was a perfect start.
Unfortunately, our main took 50-55 minutes (long given we were the only others in the restaurant when we ordered-it did get packed though) and my Snapper was very over cooked and the mussel noodles was very underwhelming- noodles weren’t cooked and the broth had no coconut or Thai flavor infused. We had to send both meals back (something I never do). The delightful waitress offered us a shared meal of king prawns whilst our ordered meals were being addressed- it was delicious, and when both returned they were far better. To round off they also provided two complimentary desserts which wasn’t at all expected and we were very thankful. The 10/10 service and measures to rectify the errors saved our meals and dining experience. Well done to the wait staff who did their best to help make our night memorable.

Just loved this small café on the beach. The staff are really pleasant and welcoming and we enjoyed a brunch, casual dinner and morning coffee and muffins here as well as their beautiful filled rolls which we bought as a takeaway lunch.
The ambience is lovely along with their comprehensive menu and is a wonderful relaxing café to head to for a chilled meal after a sunny day on the beach.

Having bought coffee every day for a week, we thought if the food is as good as the coffee, we must give it a try. We were encouraged by the entree/sharing plate menu which looked a little different to many of the places on Hastings Street. We were not disappointed. Started with a seafood platter. All good, but the sardines and the slaw with a sweetish dressing combined beautifully. We ordered three more share plates, and the standout there was the cuttlefish with Spanish sausage. Could have done with some crusty bread to mop up the delicious juice at the bottom of the bowl! Soba noodle salad also excellent, and we had to take the Spanish Jamon back to our room for lunch the next day. Great service, and a good concise wine list. Went for the Shaw & Smith Chardonnay, which went very nicely.

Offered Seafood platter as special.
Service was friendly and prompt, excellent table with view and platter was superb with variety of seafood, both cooked and fresh,. The presentation was first class and the recommended wine matched perfectly but not expensive.
