Binz is not a very popular destination outside Germany, but I happened to go there on a business trip, so I stayed at the Grand Hotel for two nights. Building is really nice, rooms are huge (maybe a little old-fashioned for a 5 star hotel, but still good). People at the desk and bar were really friendly and supportive. Then, breakfast was superb (though freashly squeezed orange water would be better).
Hotel has free LOW speed internet access. That is something they should improve as well...

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Baltic Sea (though those that face the back forest have nice views as well...

Our rooms were roomy and comfortable with balconies facing the sea. The beds were wonderful, really comfortable. The staff are attentive and helpful, the breakfast is excellent. We didn't dine in the hotel itself so I can't comment on the restaurant. We had massages in the spa. It is a nice place to relax with a small indoor pool, bar offering drinks and snacks and an outdoor courtyard with sunbeds.

We enjoyed the music in the hotel bar, a very good guitarist and a relaxed and friendly but calm atmosphere. Would happily go back for another stay.

The Grand Hotel Binz is one of the top hotels in Binz and commands a nice and quiet location at the Eastern end of the beach promenade. The hotel has many things going for it: large rooms, well furnished, with fast W-LAN. Good and friendly service. Good breakfast. Nice cocktails in the bar. Nice spa area with a decent indoor pool, kid friendly. The only small complaint: the food in the restaurant wasn't really special.

Another thing to be aware is the style of the hotel - not classical, since it's too new for that, but a bit old fashioned and definitely not modern. Subsequently, their customer's age is above average.

If you are looking for 5 star hotel in Binz in a more quiet location, the Grand Hotel is a good choice.

Free entry to SPA, Free bottle of water on arrival and departure, nice staff.

Internet a bit slow, extra charge for high-speed, EUR 22 per person for breakfast too expensive.

Free parking available a few blocks away.

The weekend stay at this hotel was a birthday treat from my daughter, including massage, a wellness hotel. Beautiful surroundings, situated at the far end of the promenade with Sea & Forest view. Very friendly staff, smooth checking in. We had a room with forest view. All rooms have a spacious balcony. Beds were very comfortable.
Next morning, first surprise at breakfast, table set with special touch with decorations & candles, greeted & congratulated. (At check in, one has to fill out the form including date of birth). Breakfast buffet was excellent, including hot breakfast to order & glas of bubbly.
Later, a bottle of Champagne in ice bucket delivered to the room, compliment of the hotel. Both surprises made my day.
We had visited the bar previous evening, excellent cocktails, even made the cocktail not on the menu, accompanied by live piano music.
We had a stroll along the promenade, paved with "villas" all with balconies, touch of southern flair. There was a Duckstein Festival on, so lots of visitors, lots of eateries, vine bars & live music, was very entertaining. Very nice beach & very clear water but a bit cold to swim.

Very clean, great food, very good staff, close to the beach. The hotel has nice spa with ok pool. Sauna is excellent. Bar has all kinds of drinks. It is classic 5 star plus extra care and German perfectionism. You must try their grill menu dinner!

We arrived at this hotel late in the evening and were made extremely welcome after a long journey. The hotel is modern and well organised. The SPA is the best of any hotel we have experienced with staff who really know what they are doing.

The breakfast was superb in every way. A great selection from the buffet and anything desired freshly cooked.

The hotel is in an exceptional location. Being at the end of the promenade it is next to the beautiful sea and very close to the woods.

For someone like me who considers themselves an unofficial Hotel Inspector it was difficult to find a fault that would warrant a complaint.

Also a nice touch was to be given a bottle of water and a little snack on our departure
