Went for dinner the last night of the holiday. Very busy. We sat inside which was fine and not hot despite July. The service was a little slow and at one point we had to get up and get our wine and water which were situated away from the table as neither of us had anything to drink. It was promptly removed again. The food was good especially the smoked salmon ravioli. Nice setting, good food but too busy for good service

I recommend, Casa do Campo, as I am sure, you will find n excellent menu, with so many choices, from starters, main course, and an astonishing wine list. I had the best Raviolli, with smoked salmon and a very special, sauce, no doubt the best I had allover the world.I was there with some Italian and French friends, and they are really happy, and surprised, with, everything including service, five stars, and a fantastic wine list, where you may find some of the best Portuguese wines. Definitely a place to return.

The food here was really nice. Can't fault the quality and flavour at all.
The restaurant is really nice and the fig tree over head outside makes for a great atmosphere (once the birds stop screeching which lasts about 30 mins. Not really a problem and it's part of the outdoor eating life)
The sign on the tree warning of falling figs initially is a funny read but soon you realise it's a real warning. Two bounced off our table during our meal. Again not a problem and adds some fun to the night.

The prices are high even for the good quality of the food and for the proximity to what would be considered the expensive part of the Algarve.
If it was in Ireland I would even think it was on the upper end of the price range for the type of restaurant.
With the high prices they then charged extra for side dishes also. So have your piece of meat with a little garnish by itself or pay an extra €4 per side. hmmmmm.

I won't post the total we paid or what we had because I don't know the rules but suffice to say we had a main each only and a few drinks and paid more than we did a couple of nights later for 3 courses, food just as good and the same drink elsewhere.

There are a good few alternatives in the area that have equally good food at a much more reasonable price to be honest.

This is definitely not a place for children either. No children's menu but they offered a few options they can do such as spaghetti with tomato sauce or grilled chicken. However what they charged for a plain spaghetti with some butter only for a child would have got me a small steak and chips in places not far away.

So if you are down in the area as a couple or have a baby sitter and don't mind paying high prices then absolutely pay a visit. You will enjoy the food and the atmosphere.
If you have your kids with you go somewhere else or if you still want good food without paying through the nose just look around and you'll find plenty of places.

Been here a few times now, and it's always very friendly and welcoming. The food is always amazing and to sit outside under the huge fig tree is beautiful. Will be back for sure.

We visited in June with our children. The food was good but not extraordinary (the piri piri on my veal chop was a revelation, though). The ambience is nice and the art inside is interesting. The fig tree is delightful. But this is where it ends. We were in one corner of the restaurant where we had to wave, stretch our necks and gesticulate to attract attention, and by the end, we were quite tired of being there. Plus, LOTS of mosquitoes! So go prepared with repellant. For the Eur 200+ we dished out (our girls are 11 and 9), this is very little value for money. Sorry, we've seen much better.
