I ate here twice last week and have been before on numerous occasions throughout the various seasons.

The seafood is great - everything I have had, sole in smoked salmon, monkfish kebabs, sardines, prawns, turbot, bream has always been excellent.

They are happy to accommodate kids and have a kids menu. And you can eat the restaurant food down by the beach shack so the kids can run around in the sand while you eat.

The beach is amazing and the view (and sunset) are always great.

Sometimes the service can be a little slow, the kids menu seems expensive, but it's one of my favourite places and I can't wait to go back.

Spacious and enjoyable beach cafe with a focus, not surprisingly, on seafood. Perhaps more a restaurant than a cafe. Easy to find, great beach location, welcoming staff and a great place to enjoy a drink too. Reasonable rather than cheap pricing, simple rather than elegant atmosphere and of course the sea to look at.

The best part about our meal was the view (it's right on the beach). However, the restaurant wasn't full and service was tediously slow. The food was underwhelming. We won't be going back.

Went there twice last time we were in Portugal. Signature dish of Tifer Prawns with African rice was great. Dover Sole superb. Both time service was excellent. Asked them to call us a cab. Smart young man in a Mercedes people carrier arrived and gave us a great ride back to Quarteira/Vilamoura but fleeced us with the fare. It cost 10 euro more than going. Sorted our own one next time.

Thank you Nick
The taxi called would have been t taxi due to our regular man being busy
T taxis are metered and that would be the price.
We have no influence- we just make the call

Wanted a nice lunch at this well-located restaurant. Able to eat by the window and the food was really good. We had a delicious crab salad and a very nice monkfish. Good bowl of olives and bread too.
Service ok, maybe a little leisurely (they weren't busy).
However, with just three glasses of house wine, the bill came to €57 euros....which we thought was steep.
Good food, but be prepared for a substantial bill.

Thank you Ian
I guess it is all relative and certainly all opinions count in TripAdvisor world.
Glad you enjoyed the cuisine
The wine is €5 per glass and the cover is charged for if requested by the client.

I had a dinner last week at a hotel with one course and a bottle of house rose..
I found the bill rather expensive and certainly double the numbers here yet was more than happy with the quality of cuisine, the location and the fact that I was taking a break for a couple of days.
