“Great place to stay for peace and quiet during the day and to go out and party at night!”
Reviewed 24 October 2010

The Petrosana is in a great location, close enough to the strip as its only a few minutes walk away but far enough away to let you get a good nights sleep after paryting. It was nice and quiet during the day when I was there in mid September, most of the time you had the pool to yourself. There is a poolside bar serving snacks until 5pm every day, the toasties are yummy! My friend and I stayed in a studio apartment, which was spacious, had a kitchenette, balcony, bathroom, fridge etc. The cleaners were in each day, it was a nice apartment. The staff are really friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. Its also about a 30min walk to Nissi beach, or its only 5mins away in a taxi which costed about 7 euro. I loved it and if I was going back to Ayia Napa, I would stay at the Petrosana again. Recommend it for young people who want to party but also want to relax during the day!

I had booked these apartments before I read reviews on here and must admit, I was a little crestfallen at so many not-so-good comments. I expected fair accomodation at best. I was pleasantly surprsed!!

I stayed with my parents and aunt as we were attending a family wedding during the week in another hotel. I booked 2 separate apartments. They were in Block C and over looked the little bar area. They were spotlessly clean, plenty of kitchen utensils, microwave, toaster, hob, electric kettle, plenty of saucepans, plates, cups, glasses etc. contrary to previous reviews, large living area and twin bedroom. We paid extra for the airconditionning (which we were aware of when we booked) but it was a godsend in the bedroom and well worth the 6 Euros a day.

There was a supermarket directly across the road and an even better one up the hill on the left which even sold Kerrygold butter (for my parents benefit). Lunch snacks could be bought at the bar and good portions. Out of the apartments and a minute walk downhill led to the start of the 'busy' street with lots of great restaurants and bars. It was considerably quieter when we went which was great for older visitors. The best steak we had was at Castle Napa (don't be perturbed by the waiter offering to shake hands to get you to the restaurant upstairs - the food is worth it)

The pool was very clean, deep and shallow ends and interesting shape, there was no occasion where we were unable to get 4 sun loungers together.

I would highly recommend these apartments, all staff were brilliant and so helpful, the location was perfect for accessibilty to the nightlife but we never heard a peep at night - the staff wander about making sure no one is loud on their balconies. If I was to return to Ayia Napa, I would definitely book here again, without hesitation!!

I stayed in these apartments with my cousin and two other friends as part of a hen week away in Ayia Napa..On the first night we arrived at reception and were disappointed as someone had cocked up our reservation. But because of this the receptionist gave my cousin and I free drinks from the bar,and a nights stay for free in a 3star BB hotel with free Breakfast the next morning, which we were content with..but when we came back to our apartments, our 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 was still not available, so we had to stay in an apartment with just the two of us. After explaining the situation to the receptionist we made it clear that when our other two friends arrive, we want to be altogether like we originally planned as it's a special occasion. When we got into our apartments they were pretty basic and standard. i remember the hanging bar falling apart and toilet handle. We stayed in our apartment for another two days or so before moving finally to our bigger apartment. We weren't happy at the fact that we had to keep moving, and it didn't feel like a holiday because of the headache but we managed it somehow. All we needed was a place to sleep, since we would be out partying most of the time. The amount of money we paid for these apartments were pretty good, we didn't have to worry about getting taxi's to the nightlife and restaurants as we walked it everyday. And in the daytime the swimming pool area was nice and chilled out, and it wasn't really packed out at all which was good for us. I would recommend this hotels for those that want a budgeted holiday, and don't want to spend too much money on accommodation, more on partying and going out in general.

petrosana was the perfect place to stay for us. lovely pool, good pool side snacks. rooms are basic but even have a littile kitchen-nette & fridge to store your wine before your night out.grocery shop across the road to buy booze, snacks, magazines & newpapers etc. 5 mins walk to all the bars & clubs madness but we couldnt hear any noise as the rooms are just far enough away.

Definitely recommend it to any looking for somewhere near to nightlife but also want to have a peaceful nights sleep after!

We stayed there in Oct 2008 got there quite late at night and was panicked at 1st coz couldn't see anything about as it was dark, When we got up in the morning though and went out discovered we had picked the best location ever with a supermarket shop just opposit the apartments and literally a 5 minute walk down to all the local bars and clubs. The rooms were basic but if you were like us we only went back to lie down for the afternoon siesta and at night to sleep and the obvious getting ready to go out. We stayed there with our 2 young children (4yrs & 1 and a half yrs) and they both loved it. The air conditioning cost extra but we did ok without it as like i said before didn't spend much time in the room. The staff were excellent and really accomadating couldn't do enough for us in fact the whole island was really child friendly. The only thing i would say negative about the room was there was always lots of ants on the floor but i think they were everywhere coz of the hot weather.the rooms were always clean though and there were always fresh towels and sheets for us.
In fact we enjoyed it that much that we are going back this year (Oct 2009) unfortunately though we couldn't get this hotel again because we've booked with thomson this year as thomas cook last years service plane wise and service were appalling. All in all a really great holiday roll on 4th Oct 09

Really liked this hotel as the rooms are quite big and roomy and with quite nice furniture. Also have a small kitchenette with basic necessities. Just a few minutes walk to the busy nightlife area but it's located far enough to sleep without noises at night. The staff are really helpful and friendly but we had to ask for the towels to be changed. Would not recommend to someone with walking difficulties as there is no lift to the upper floors. But on the whole it was a good value for money and would like to visit again.

Petrosana has the perfect mixture of being chilled out during the day, yet it comes alive at night! Our room was excellent, very clean, and very clean bathroom more importantly. Has great places to eat surrounding it and is only a couple of mins walk to the main strip - PERFECTION! Bit of a hidden gem really, tucked away just around the corner from the main night life which meant you could shut off from it all when ever you wanted... not that you'll want to!!
Went will gal pals on our first holiday together and the memories will last a lifetime. There staff were amazing and there was a great mix of people by the pool. Still keep in touch with some of them.
I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone going to Aiya Napa from aged 18-30.
Just GO!!!
Love, love, love :) :)
