Great Value for Money proposition - quite a walk from Bus Stop and Tourist office
However After the initial walk, once you get your coordinates, place is quite convenient - 50 meters from beach , very close to Jetty, cruise and Roses express booking counters...La Tagliatella restaurant right opposite is great place for nice Italian food...super market is 100 meters, so are various shops and early morning cafe spots
Staff is helpful, breakfast quite wholesome too - would recommend this place

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms would be better

Hotel very clean and staff helpful.
As usual in these hotels the meals are buffet and can leave a little to be desired.
We love salads and thes are always excellant.
We had a room with balcony overlooking the sea it costs a little extra but well worth it

First time at Roses, a real jewel of Costa Brava. The room in the front of the beach, nothing more to ask, the best present from the hotel staff, very helpful and polite. Rooms are very clean and with enough space, with the minibar included and always full. TV set ok, Internet OK. Dinner and breakfast included were OK. especially the dinner, with a complete offer of seafood, nice surprise. The hotel is well located and if you do not like the hotel restaurant buffet, you can find near you a lot of good place to eat well. A nice and easy promenade guide you to the center of Roses, this place full of charm (actually the hotel is in Santa Margarida area, but who cares?... the promenade is fabulous). And again, pay for the sea view, you will be stunned, will worth any penny. Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: Do not miss the rooms with sea view and Cadaques...:)

The hotel is literally on the beach so the sea view room was a blast. The room was clean, the bed firm and comfortable, the staff friendly and available, pet friendly with no additional charge. The free mini bar (stocked up every day), the free internet (even if the connection was shaky at the least) and the free breakfast (nothing fancy but a solid buffet) fully justified a 168 Euro per night rate for a 2 people room in the middle of August (booked with very short notice). On the minus side, the hotel is in the middle of a busy area so there is a lot going on late a night and the parking space (paid) is very limited so we where forced to park in the middle of the street a good half mile away

We booked a room facing the sea, and were not disapointed. It came with a small balcony as well as the stunning view. The boulavade below was a buzz of activity, and a constant flow of interest. There are several good restaurants very close by if you do not want the set price buffet in the Montecarlo.

For us secure parking was a priority as we had all our holiday luggage in the car, and only wanted to take a small case to the hotel. This hotel was the best we found as it has a locked garage about 300 yards away. Worth the walk for the safety.

Room Tip: There is a price to pay for the sea view. Not only literally (and worth the extra cost) but also because there is a fair amount of noise outside at night, even on the 5th floor. The hotel is good about switching off the music/performance at midnight, and we liked the buzz of activity, but if you want an early night perhaps choose the side rooms that do not look over the road or the boulavade.
