Very interesting museum and tour. Worth the 5€. Went to Mass at 10am. The giant monstrance and silver altar were the most impressive to me. The bathroom was not very clean. They do have a nice little gift shop.

Thank CindyDan

The cathedral is an impressive example of Romanesque architecture, represented in Zamora by numerous churches, Located on the hilltop by the river (great view from the other bank of the Duero!) it is very different from most other Spanish cathedrals because of its serenity and simplicity of design. The cathedral and adjacent museum (single ticket at 5 euro) house an interesting collection of works of art. such as a silver altar or late medieval tapestries. Not to be missed!

It costs €5 per person to go round this Cathedral. You get a hand held speaker in English (or probably any other language) and this gives you every detail of the Cathedral. It is worth every euro to see this magnificent building. I noticed it had ramps for disabled persons.. If you are in Zamora don't miss this.

Having seen so many cathedrals in Spain, almost gave this one a miss. That would have been a mistake. This off-the-beaten-track cathedral has a museum which has tremendous tapestries about Hannibal and the Trojan Wars. The 12th century cathedral is a delight. Great craftsmanship and devoid of hordes of tourists. Particularly good silver pieces.

We visited the cathedral on a sunday, just before one o'clock, apparently mass time. Went on nevertheless, and found a beautiful cathedral. In the museum lots of clerical objects. On the first floor several fantastic flemish tapestries.
