You're right on the edge of the Mogollon Rim, The trail is flat and mostly paved and includes interpretive signs discussing local flora, fauna, and history. Interesting and informative-and the views are great. A nice little trail for people who don't really walk, and pleasant and instructive for those who do..

We very much enjoyed the drive near the Mogollon Rim from Campe Verde to Pinetop AZ. Up mountain and down mountain. The Primitive Road was too rough to drive, probably difficult hiking also. More for ATV ing.

Sweet little trail with informative signs along the way. Partially paved for easy walking and wheelchair accessibility. The views on the southern part of the trail are beautiful.

The trail head is on the west side of AZ260/White Mountain Blvd. between Camp Grace and the Lion's Camp. There's a gravel parking area and a sign that designates the start of the trail. The first section (about .3 mile) is paved to a scenic overlook on the edge of the rim. The pavement is in fair condition with some cracks and root-heaves but level enough for wheelchair use. When we visited in July, the views were rocky terrain and forest of pine and juniper trees with some grasses and wildflowers. A short bridge crosses over a small creek. It's an easy walk and good place to spot birds and small wildlife like squirrels and rabbits. It started raining so we had to hurry; we're planning to visit again soon when we can take our time.
