We stayed at Surf 787 in May right before the end of surf season and it was the perfect place for our first visit to Rincon. Roger was very knowledgable about where the best surf was and what beaches to see. He also has an awesome surf school and I was able to ride my first wave. The crew was patient, careful, and very encouraging. Roger was the nicest guy and he made us feel like we were old friends. His house is gorgeous, view amazing, home made breakfast each morning, and great conversations. We will only stay here, there's really no reason to look anywhere else. Can't wait to go back, it was paradise. Renee & Daniel

This was a great place to stay. It had prime location and a great view. The owner, Roger, was very friendly and hospitable. Staying here felt like staying at home. Far enough from the city to have a relaxing time but yet close enough to be convenient.

I wish I could keep this place a secret. But alas, Roger deserves another amazing review. The stay here was spectacular. My husband and I got married in the area and then spent the week following the wedding with friends at the villa. It was perfect. The place is not on the beach, but it didn't matter. The place is spacious and the kitchen divine for cooking. We spent the evenings hanging at the pool or just watching the sunset from the third floor. We also did yoga on the little cement balcony located near the pool. A perfect view of the beach. I will definitely be coming back here.

This was the perfect getaway!! Coming from a cold city, this was exactly what we needed.

The guesthouse was great with a breathtaking view (the sunset is just beautiful)!! The pictures on the websites doesn't do any justice. The rooms were nice and spacious. We got a private bedroom with a private bathroom and it was perfect.

Roger was wonderful. He was super friendly, fun, easy going, and passionate about surfing. He knew all the great local restaurants/shops/grocery stores. Everyday he will check the waves and make sure we went to a beach that we were able to learn efficiently safely and have a blast! Our instructor Lance was amazing as well. He was fun, patient, and knowledgeable!!

Our days would start with a nice breakfast on the balcony overlooking the beautiful nature of Rincon. Then roger will let us know when and where we will be taking our lessons. After a fun and exciting morning surfing, we would go to lunch at a spot that Roger recommended, come back to the villa to recharge (lay on the hammock, have a nap, go to the pool, do some yoga, watch the sunset, etc) and then again go out for dinner/drinks. Then we would come back to the villa and just chill out again on the balcony, hang out wit our fellow guests, have a few drinks, and go to bed.

Now does that not sound like an amazing day??
I strongly recommend everybody to come here!! We had so much fun, learned something new, and met wonderful people. What more can you ask for?

Spent 3 great days with Roger at Surf787. It is a beautiful guest house and a perfect place for anyone looking to get away from the "resorts" and enjoy the quiet, sea breeze of Rincon. The house has an unobstructed view of the ocean and the sunsets are worth the trip alone. It was perfect for me as a solo traveler, but I would also definitely come with a small group/family. Roger is a great host and even took us out for a stand up paddle board sunset tour on our last night. Don't forget to take him on in table tennis... but watch out for his forehand! Looking forward to a return trip soon...
