“Warm & comfortable for winter holiday”
Reviewed January 4, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

Great house in beautiful town. Close to restaurants, museums etc. Didn't use the car all week. The highlight was the sauna and the log fire. We had a wonderful time.
We would have appreciated to have someone to welcome us and show us around and point out how to get the hot water etc to work. It would have saved a lot of phone calls!

“A great way to say 'bye' to 2014.”
Reviewed January 4, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We spent a week in the property at the end of December 2014. The house was cosy and comfy and perfect for a family holiday for 6. Particularly appreciated were the sauna, the log fire, the Wii and the underfloor heating.

We found the town of Ronda to be utterly charming, with lots to do and and spectacular views from almost everywhere - a real gem.

A minor complaint would be that the agent wasn't really ready for our arrival and not especially helpful with a couple of problems that arose. Had she been there to show us around the house, these may have been avoided.

Overall, though, a very good house in a wonderful town.

“Live Like the Spanish Do”
Reviewed September 18, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This is a genuine Spanish house in a street and district comprised of similar houses. The rental is perfect for people who want to visit a Spanish town of reasonable size but somewhat off the tourist track and stay for a length of time to get a real feel for the place. On the other hand if you want to stay only a couple of days and only see the main sights then stay in a hotel.
It was hot when we stayed there but the house stayed cool without the need for air conditioning. A surprisingly cool swimming pool helped as did fans in the evening. Maybe the addition of ceiling fans would have have made sleeping even more comfortable.
Car access to the garage was difficult, up a steep narrow cobblestone road to quite a sharp turn past many other parked cars. We found it a bit tough and so only brought the car up for loading and unloading bags. For the rest of the time we parked at the foot of the hill, a short walk away.
The house is big with four bedrooms and very well equipped.Good sized bathrooms, bedrooms kitchen and laundry made us feel comfortable. Many dinners were eaten outside next to the pool although there are three different diner area options. It was less than a ten minute walk up the hill to a supermarket, butcher, baker, fish shop and greengrocer. The centre of town at the bull ring or spectacular bridge was only fifteen minutes walk. In fact it was possible to walk anywhere in the town.
Ronda is a wonderful town of around 35000 people, boasting many fine restaurants, a fascinating old part and very reasonably priced shopping. Bigger towns like Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba, Malaga and Granada are a day trip away by car but you may never want to leave Ronda.
Come prepared to converse with the locals in your best Spanish and you will enjoy the experience even more. This house is perfect for 4 to 6 adults to use a base for soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the wonderful Spanish tapas and other types of food.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever we return to Ronda.

“Beautiful home, perfect location”
Reviewed May 3, 2014 for a stay in November 2012

My husband, my brother, and I stayed here and our expectations were exceeded. It was the perfect, central location for the time we spent in Andalucia. The home is beautiful, well-equipped, and the view from the front balcony toward Ronda is fantastic. It is easy to get to/from the center of Ronda, and the many great restaurants and bars. Faustino's is the best! Isabel and Claire were very attentive to our needs and were very helpful during the entire process of planning and arrival/departure.

“Second Stay..”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

this was the second time I stayed at this lovely house, and that is a first.
the house is only a short walk-yes up some steep steps for about 100m or so-but it is centrally located and only a few minutes walk to the heart of ronda.
the photos on the website are accurate, the views from the front of the house over towards san francisco and the countryside are truly wonderful.
regarding catering facilities and the house in general, it is a well equipped property with a large kitchen/dining area which would be handy in colder months but in the summer meals are best served on the large table on the patio outside, by the swimming pool.
whilst there are some supermarkets in and around ronda I found the best places to shop for food was along c/cruz verde, there is a small dia supermarket there but really you should buy your foodstuffs from the little shops around there. I found Elena's fishmonger, juan carlos butcher, and the panderia just past the butchers all excellent for quality, and friendliness and helpfulness of service, such a contrast with the surly-if pressured-supermarket assistants.
as i said before, this was my second stay, not something i have ever done before with a holiday house rental, so that says something.
dealing with isabel was easy and simple and the communication with her was always swift and informative.
i would happily recommend this rental, and would go back again.

“Well-equipped in a great location.”
Reviewed April 14, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This is just a few minutes walk from either the old town or the new. Its decor is slightly dark, but this would probably be a blessing in the bright summer months. It's well-equipped and suited us perfectly for a mixture of eating-in and eating out. Bedrooms are nice with comfortable beds.

“ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We have an absolutely wonderful time staing in your house in Ronda -- it exceeded our expectations and is the best location we have had in all our years of coming to Ronda. We were so relaxed we only used the car twice and once was to visit our friends locally for lunch at their house!

Thank you so much for details of a babysitter. Your neighbours daughter, Rocio, was lovely and i am afraid to say my husband and i returned a little the worse for consuming the wine flight in tragabouche! I dread to think what she thought!

The welcome details/pack were really useful and you provided us with some extra ideas of place we hadn't been to before -- 'the smurf village'. The house was immaculate and had everything we could have wanted -- a home away from home. Location was ideal - quiet but perfectly located for a short stroll to town to get any supplies or indulge in the great food Ronda has to offer.
