We camped at Minjerribah(Amity Point) Camp Ground over Easter and had great time. The jetty was only meters from our camp site so we were able to go many times during our stay. The water was very clear and you could see plenty of fishes around the jetty. My young son had fun fishing from jetty and caught few fishes using only bread for bait. The sunset from jetty was amazing to behold. Every day we saw couple dolphins playing around the jetty in the morning (around 7 AM) and in the evening around 5:30 PM. According the local ranger these are the same dolphins at Tangalooma resort in nearby Moreton Island. On one side of the jetty is net-enclosed swimming area which is perfect for the kids and on the other side of the jetty is the rock wall where you can snorkel (best to do on high tide). Would highly recommend staying at the camp site for few days either in the tent of cabins for great experience. FYI, the camp ground is great and very well managed. It is very family friendly.

The water is crystal clear and there is a tiny patch of white sand beach to lie on. The swimming enclosure is great but no waves. No lifeguards. The jetty is good for fishing when no one swims around it.

Stayed in an air bnb and spent the days fishing and walking the endless beaches. A must visit if you're on the east coast

We did not fish - no rod - but others were. Water very clear. With a rod could easily spend a few hours here.

In town for the Chamber Music Festival. Filled in an hour by investigating Amity Point ... a diversion worth the taking!
