“Fabulous house.”
Reviewed September 14, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

I expected the house to be fabulous from the pictures on the web site but it did not prepare me for the spectacular views in all directions.
The house is of the highest standard with every need catered for.
Elaine, the owner was very welcoming and a mine of information.

“Superb place to stay”
Reviewed August 9, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

What a find this place is! Words alone cannot describe what a superb home this is. If you want unspoilt 360 degree views of perfection, this is the place to stay. If you want to stay in an outstanding house with everything you wish for, then Dundream is your best choice. The little touches from the local foods, to the luxury bath products are a pleasant surprise.
Lovely places to visit by car, Portpatrick's about 20 minutes away or further afield there's Cream O Galloway about 90 mins away.
Day trip to Belfast on Stenaline Express from Cairnryan is well worth an early start.
Definitely worth 5 stars

“Our brilliant stay at Dundream”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Our stay at Dundream was truly idyllic; wonderful house, brilliant location with sensational views and a lovely quiet part of Scotland. We had a really relaxing time but did lots too; cycling round the local roads and for more adventure the Galloway National Park - extreme cycleways!, golfing at Portpatrick and Stranraer and lots of walking. We didn't even get to the gardens, beaches, distillery and other places to visit as being at the house and in the local area was so good. We had fantastic weather and the holiday could not have been better - I am sure we will return!

“What a find! - an exquisite retreat.”
Reviewed April 23, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This is a beautifully appointed property in a peaceful setting with stunning views. The house has been very tastefully decorated to a very high standard.
We walked to the nearby lighthouse and visited beautiful Portpatrick.
Our party of 8 adults had plenty of room to socialise and we had a wonderful stay.
We all discussed when we would return and who could we introduce to such a find!
You will not be disappointed.
Elaine, the owner, is a lovely person who would love your stay to be memorable.

“Simply stunning”
Reviewed April 17, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This house is just simply stunning from top to bottom. There is no detail forgotten. It is furnished with high quality furniture, every bedroom is extremely comfortable. It has everything you need. We stopped of to get some things from the supermarket before arriving and ended up not even needing them. Things like coffee, tea, salt, pepper, toilet paper. There are also a number of board games, playing cards, DVDs.

The outside views are just magnificent and it is so peaceful. We did have a bit of wind while we were here but it didn't matter it was still so beautiful and peaceful.

Thank you so much to Elaine for letting us stay. We would certainly come again.

“Simply Stunning”
Reviewed April 5, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Stayed here with the family for a week in early April 2013. The house is fabulous and the location provides 360 degree views of some of the most stunning scenery possible. Every window paints another picture - Corsewell Lighthouse, Ailsa Craig, Ireland to name but few. Best of all is settling down in the evening to witness the most amazing sunsets from the comfort of the lounge. The house itself is spotless and it is clear there has been great attention to detail in all aspects of its design and decor. The space is great and layout excellent. For gadget lovers there is a 3D tv and my personal favourite was downloading an app for my phone that allowed me to control the music in every room. Great sound system. The kids loved scooting around the decking and watching the cows in the adjacent field. Had a few nice jogs down to the lighthouse and back (5 miles exactly for the return trip). The best holiday home we have stayed at and would have no hesitation in recommending this. We'll be back I'm sure.
