This is a pub crying out for some tlc. It could be stripped back to a proper old English country pub or could be taken to a contemporary eatery. As it is it is neither, it is stuck in a time warp. The beer is ok but the range could be expanded. The food is traditional pub fare but nicely cooked. The dining room is dated, the extraction system is inadequate and the passing trade is at present very low. Such a shame as it is in a nice village with lovely scenery on the doorstep.

What a delightful country pub with a lovely landlord and landlady. Called for Saturday lunch whilst staying in the area and was made to feel welcome on stepping through the door. We had our dog with us which was no problem at all, he even got offered a dog treat off the landlord. Food was delicious and can also vouch for the rose wine! If you call in spare a kind word for Jack, their rescue border collie who's a little wary of people but a beautiful dog with lovely owners.

Lovely Friday evening meal with friends. Good quality home cooked food and friendly staff. Lots of freshly caught fish on the menu plus a delicious steak pie.

We went for the first time last night after a long time living in the area, kept meaning to go but for some reason or another got round to it. Brilliant! Lovely local food and piping hot. Loved it! Nice people and nice surroundings. It's bloomin good Pub Grub but goes a bit further than that. Don't expect 5 star fine dining you will be disappointed but the Chef cooks food like she would expect it to be which is much more valuable in my book! You can eat in the bar or in the back restaurant. Go! You won't be sorry.
