Providing unique, quirky holiday accommodation which has been renovated to add the comforts of a modern home whilst maintaining the features of a listed period cottage, The Mill House is a traditional stone walled cottage set on a small holding in the heart of rural Perthshire, but close to the town of Aberfeldy. The cottage has spacious accommodation for up to 4 people ( one of the double rooms can become a family room with a convertible single bed to accommodate 5), with private enclosed garden area and further shared grounds including a small burn,. It is a great option for a family holiday, but also very attractive to couples wanting some rural seclusion, to sit and listen to the burn and to the waterfall which cascades down the side of the original Old Mill which sits at right angles to the detached Mill House cottage.h It is reached via a private drive off a ‘no through’ country lane. Walks are available directly from the house- Weem, Dull, Kenmore and The Birks, Aberfeldy COVID-19 has necessitated a few changes. We do not always keep a day or more free between lets, but we do provide pillows and duvets which have been quarantined for at least 72 hours between guests and we do utilise an UV Sterilisation lamp between guests. We use a anti bac laundry cleanser for laundering all laundry. We cannot quarantine the mattresses , but we change the mattress protector between visits. We follow UK and Scotland government guidance as appropriate.

Guests booking should be 21 or over. No outside shoes permitted in carpeted areas. Up to two dogs allowed, but not permitted upstairs or in carpeted areas. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the communal areas and you must pick up after them and put the bagged waste in the general waste bin ( green bin). Recycling goes in the blue lidded bin. The whole site is a no smoking site. Cars must be parked so as not to prevent the occupants of the Lower Old Mill from parking one car on the courtyard.

An idyllic Scottish cottage
The Mill House is set in an idyllic location which is very tranquil and within walking distance to Aberfeldy. It is central to many Scottish beauty spots within Perthshire. The cottage is very spacious, well equipped and very clean. The bathroom was very new and a delightful feature. The fresh eggs on arrival were delicious! Jennet (host) was welcoming, friendly and helped with any issues throughout our stay. We were unable to access the WiFi, but could still use our mobiles if needed - an added bonus having a break from it all!! Would highly recommend this for a comfy Scottish holiday.

Lovely place beautiful area
Stayed with my 3 kids...the house is perfectly equipped and the beds are so comfortable. ...the back garden is quite large and private, not only walled but enclosed in rhodedenrons and birch...it's a fantastic place to sit on the evening, have a whisky and watch the hills and forest behind..... Aberfeldy is a short drive away which takes 5 mins, although it is quite nice to walk there by the river which we did..the birks of aberfeldy are a must (such a beautiful place)...munros to do just a 30 min drive away are ben lawers and the glen lyon horse show...there is a beautiful little walk to do in glen lyon (which is one of the most tranquil beautiful places I've been to) that is about 3 mile. That takes you by the glen lyon post office where the tea, cakes and food in general is superb...theres a beach at Kenmore which is fantastic for views, sunbathing or hiring a boat. All in all fantastic house in spectacular suroundings...with too much to see and do in the area...

We are about 3 miles from Aberfeldy. The Mill House has parking for 2 cars on the courtyard which serves to access both The Mill House and the Lower flat of the Old Mill (which is in separate ownership ). Lower Old Mill ground floor flat has parking for one car only. We would just ask guests at The Mill House to park in a way which does not impede Lower Old Mill from parking.
