On our last day in the town we went to the brewery to have dinner. It was super. Friendly stuff, fast service, great local beers, and delicious meals, for resonable price. Really recomended if u want to have a nice lunch or dinner in the oldtown.

If you are looking for real brewery with good beer and hearty food - this is the place! Visited two times in the place - the staff is very friendly, service is quick - and food is real czech food (pork, dumplings, sausages, sauerkraut). And what is good sign is that a lot of local people are visiting in this place, just a few minutes walk from the CK center nearby Vltava river.

We just left this place, and we're not impressed with the fact that one, the service was terrible and two, food was less than mediocre.
We found this place in hopes of some great authentic craft beer, good atmosphere and a good meal.
What we got was
Beer with too much foam
Terrible service
And the meal was... "Mehh"
We started with the pickled sausage- okay, nothing to rave about, very small 'cold starter'. it was served with a basket of bread, but once the sausage was gone they took the entire basket of bread with them.
My boyfriend ordered the pork neck with a side of fried potato croquettes * the meat was just like a typical roast beef and not overly flavourful, while the croquettes were very bland.
I ordered the salad with tuna and egg, and a side of the potato dumplings. First the waitress (which we didn't have the same one the entire time we were in there) brought over the salmon from the menu with the rest of our meal and walked away, I waited to call over a wait staff for about 5-10 minutes and finally got someone to inform them that o revived the wrong meal, when my salad came I was pleasantly surprised that it was very tasty and fresh - it's not a lettuce salad though, is jam packed with veggies* ps the dumplings are more like slices of bread, but okay.

-$ we each got a beer, plus the cold starter, or meals with a side and it came to 410 crowns. So a fair price for the amount of food, plus the local beers.

overall the location and atmosphere are really cool, but the
brewery is closed for tours and the wait staff are very inattentive.

Walking distance through the cobble stones in town.
By the 6th day of drinking Pilsner I was not in the mood for more than one or two 500ml. Excellent service from the staff and enjoyed dinner

The restaurant of the Eggenberg Beer factory is not far from the real center of the town, and you can eat fine czech meals and drink good beers for a lower price than in the city.
Beer in the city costs 30 koronas, here it is 20.
A guided tour across the factory is also possible.
