The Hotel Konvice is a lovely hotel in a 15th century building, situated on the main street that leads from the top of the medieval village and runs down to the main square. Our room (#14) was one of 2 suites and situated on the ground floor, just behind reception. It was a fabulous room - actually 4 rooms! The bathroom had a bath and a free standing shower. We had a great view of the Castle tower from our bedroom window. Persian rugs and antique furniture .... just gorgeous! The bed was big and comfortable with squishy pillows. Intermittent wifi due to the thickness of the walls, but OK at reception. We had a kitchen sink and a stove with a kettle but no fridge or tea/coffee which was a bit odd, but we were able to buy a few bits an pieces from the supermarket at the top of the hill. There were limited toiletries in the bathroom - shampoo and conditioner and a small soap. Limited buffet breakfast but FABULOUS home made jam. There's a good restaurant within the hotel with a varied menu that was reasonably priced. Very professional and helpful staff who speak good English.

Room Tip: Book one of the suites - they're fabulous!

We had done a walking tour of the town and were looking for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised to see our guide sitting there eating her lunch, and thought that we had chosen the right place. We were not disappointed. The beef goulash came with slices of dumplings which mopped up the gravy wonderfully.

We enjoyed this well-run, traditional hotel over a 2-night. Nice continental breakfast included. Also worth a visit for the cakes in the cafe. Great location. The receptionist also had great restaurant recommendations.
Completely met expectations and would not hesitate to stay there again!

I loved this hotel! Perfect location!! Was just like a hidden gem in the city . Breakfast was good and the room was clean and well kept! Our room had 2 rooms which was really nice! Not too many rooms so the hotel was quite. Would stay here again!

The staff were very pleasant, but our room was just average. We must be slow learners, because we kept hitting our heads on the door frame. This 1500s building was constructed for those shorter than 5'6". The hotel is very convenient to the main square of the town and to anything else in this small medieval town.
