Staff are SO RUDE! Checked us in and didn't tell us how to get back in after hours. After a long day of touring getting back into our room at 12:30am. Only one bath towel for two people!!!! The receptionist for the night time rudely asked "what room!?" No sorry no nothing! The next day our room got made up, NO TOILET PAPER! Again have to go down to the same cold receptionist. She was rude and again no apology. Handed me a bag of toilet paper. The buffet breakfast is the same every day. The cakes are the same from the day before or before that. Incredibly dry! Not worth the money. We had a good price for the room after booking it on trivago. But we did see their normal pricing for the room was $1000+ AUD for 4 night and it sure isn't even worth close to that. AVOID!!!!!

Room was clean, air was fresh, very spacious. The service was great, any required information was provided.
Great location in Prague, can walk to Old Town in about 20 minutes.
The only thing I would suggest is for the music in the main office to be quieter as you can hear it from 6 in the morning.
Would recommend.

Generally impressed by the hotel and the service. Really good value for money and only a short walk from the centre.
Two things that really irritated us were the intrusive "background" music especially in the breakfast room and the charging for tea and coffee in the room. Some more savvy guests were taking tea bags from the breakfast and using them in the room.
Despite these faults would recommend the hotel for a well located budget hotel.

Dear David,
It was a pleasure reading your detailed review, I am sure many Trip Advisor users will appreciate it. We are happy that you are one of the guests who leave with an unforgettable impression and will come back one day, we will be looking forward to that. As for the charged tea/coffee, taking into consideration the attractive prices of accommodation in a top 4* hotel, we do not have mini-bar and coffee/tea complimentary; however, anyone can definitely enjoy it at an affordable price if they want to. Once you know when you will be coming, please contact us directly so we provide you with our best offer for regular guests.
Best Wishes

This was the kind of hotel one dreams of. Beautifully appointed rooms - we knew we were in Prague, not some anonymous metropolitan hotel. Friendly and considerate service - for example, two of us had birthdays during our stay and a small gift and a hand-written card were left on their beds. Metro and tram close by and only about 10 minutes walk to the National Museum end of Wenceslas Square.

Room Tip: The next door Amigo is woned by the same family if Alqush is full

Lovely and quaint hotel in Prague, not exactly in the 'downtown' (a 15-20 minute easy walk to the touristy areas of Old Town, New Town and the Castle) but is an easy walk away and there is lots of public transport available close by (train, trams). Never felt unsafe in the area and there are other hotels and restaurants in the vicinity.

The staff were incredibly friendly, check in and check out very easy, room's were very well presented and clean. There is a lovely courtyard garden and optional breakfast as well.

Be aware the hotel does charge for tea and coffee (it is very clear when checking in and when in the room).

However one improvement could be to turn off or soften the music that plays in the foyer of each level. As the hotel is small it is very noticeable at night, not so bad that we couldn't fall asleep but you could faintly hear it.
