Was surprised no one has written about this gem. We stayed there a few years ago and had originally booked it because of its location (on the Royal Walkway in Old Town). When we arrived we were a bit skeptical. Had to walk to the back of a narrow little shop and then up an even narrower, dark staircase with our suitcases. The office was a tiny nook on the first landing. As we were being taken down a dark hallway to our room I was wondering what had we got ourselves into. Then the clerk opened up our door and what a pleasant surprise. The small suite had antique furniture and in the center of the room a large beautiful crystal chandelier was hanging. The bathroom was all encased with marble and the bedroom was filled with more antigues including the bed. The hotel is 4 stories with only 1 room on each story so it is very quiet and private. The staff knocked on our door each morning at the time we designated with breakfast served on two silver trays. My husband left several of his shirts hanging in the l'armoire. The staff was kind enough to mail them to our home in the U.S. The location is less than 2 blocks from the Charles Bridge and several other historic sites. I most certainly would stay here again and have recommended it to friends.
