Reviewed 30 April 2012

We lived in this 4* hotel during 3 nights in April. The room is good enough. The hotel is in the center of Prague.
But the stuff matches with 2* but not for 4* hotel:
1) When we came at 10:50 pm and ask barmen about cup of tea he answered that it is ok! Then we came upstairs to drop cloths. We were near restaurant at 11:05. And that guy made us happy with message that bar is close. I never ever saw so stupid and unpleasant bar stuff!
2) Wi-Fi is near reseption only. But I spent one hour at the morning asking administrator at the reception to make that bloody wi-fi on! She answered that all is ok. What does this mean? I looked on my iPhone and I know when internet access is on or when it is off. I suppose that in 4* hotels such problems should be solved immediately!
3) The morning buffet. It was average, acceptable. But once upon a morning one waitress had a cough. It was no gauze bandage, only cough, intensive enough. She layed napkins, covers on tables, filled volumes and plated with food. And with her bacterias and fungi as well! It was terrible, we leaved the buffet just taking a tea only.
4) In overall the stuff is not benevolent at all. It was a feeling that we made them a big discomfort.

Naturally this hotel should be 2*, mostly because of ill-bred stuff.
Not recommend.

Room Tip: Ask them to give a room with windows towards a street.

My mum and I stayed here during the Christmas market period in December 2011 and had a wonderful time. The hotel was excellently located for everything and right on Wencelas square. Our rooms were lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast selection each morning. The staff were friendly and nice.

We also ate in the hotel restaurant on one of the evenings and had a lovely evening. The restaurant is very quirky with the stalactite decor. The food was good - we opted for the Czech tasting menu - but not quite fine dining I had (perhaps mistakenly!) expected.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a trip to Prague!

The hotel has an excellent position, having everything around. The staff was ok, we did the check-in at 7 o clock in the morning and there was no problem. Next time in Prague, we will probably choose the same hotel.

the hotel has the best location ever! just in the middle of down town, everything is around you, just a walking distance of theater, museum and many important monuments. Behind the hotel there is a small peaceful garden and a church of Saint Mary where you can pray peacefully without disturbance of tourists. Our room had a window that shows the garden... The breakfast is nice but not amazing... I definitely advise you to stay there

Excellent location, cozy and good hotel. We liked it. But rooms on the photos more than it actually is ;-) Better to make a reservation suite room.
